Thanks for your story and tribute to your Dad. My family is more than a hundred years from Scotland but we can relate to the story. I enjoyed the sunday drive.
When you said in your last comment to me, to wait and see what was on your next video. Well, I never expected that. It was great, and I had been blessed to have known your dad in those early years when I joined the young farmers group that he was so involved with. That was late 60s early 70s when the bypass you talked of and the downfall of Kilmarnock which went from a very prosperous town to heading to derelict now due to narrow minded councillors. From a lovely sandstone built town to concrete mess. Your dad moved to where you were born and I lost touch (the music that he got me interested in with guitar etc got me down there to see him a few times but like you are now, I was a busy farmer). Thanks for those memories to your dad and to you for bringing them to be. Happy Fathers Day.
Thank you Doug!! I absolutely love the history!! So many changes! It's changed so much here, it kinda makes me wish they'd buy us out for a bypass or something.. we'd get the flock out of here! Even though it's been home my whole life.. and Becky's family has 8 generations here now.. oops! Make that 9!! Almost forgot about Blakely! She's 4th for my family.. Becky wants to go to Montana.. I'm good with that, or Saskatchewan, Manitoba, even Alberta.. but anymore, the Guberments everywhere are so 🤬 up!! Idaho and Montana have record amounts of water, yet they're shutting off irrigation, right after planting.. unless something happens very soon, there will be a lot of foreclosures and no farms🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Thanks Douglas, very much appreciated. Love to you all. from Farm Grampa
