Does saying that Antonioni's decadence trilogy wants to showcase the alienation of the bourgeois caused by the constantly-increasing accessibility to comforts, which consequently leads to the failure of establishing profound, or even just genuine, human connections, mean that you spoiled those films? Are you really saying that's the equivalent of saying that in "L'avventura" Anna disappears 30 minutes into the film and then her boyfriend cheats on her with her best friend Claudia, only for Claudia to catch Sandro himself cheating on her with another girl at the end of the movie? The latter example is what spoiling is, the first is a rudimentary understanding of the meaning of a work of art

oldboy f tier is crazy imo but as controversial as this list is I agree with most, hell of a good video.

Totally disagree to the opinion on Grave of the fireflies like he literally said they didn't made any connection to characters and directly goes to saddening which is such a big lie man.. Its the first movie i had cried on to and made me thinking about it for 4-5 days whenever i sit to eat... totally disappointed

I saw a re release of psycho in the theater with my friend years ago and we were laughing our asses off at the stair scene while some people were giving us weird looks

@@thoughtworld5391 mostly read manga in my free time so my movie repertoire is very limited outside of mainstream stuff which usually really sucks, but it would be Parasite (😭 which is kinda weird since i also value character journeys more than most other aspects of a story, but genuinely can't think of a movie I've seen that does that really well; Parasite also offers a more nuanced portrayal of class struggle by not demonizing the rich and have the poor be martyrs, instead showing the complicated parasitic (pun intended) realtionship between the 2 of surviving by profiting off of one another, be they wealthy or not, although negative arcs are not my preference.

I see American Psycho used in an ironic or meme context pretty much exclusively, it doesn’t have the serious almost worshipping culture around it like Taxi Driver. Bateman is explicitly ridiculous and the story ends in his misery with active, unambiguous condemnation of his actions and a much more well demonstrated point.
