@Mysterious0Bob mgs4 had several cutscenes in a row at the end of act 3/ beginning of act 4 that added up to over an hour and a half. thank goodness you can skip through them though.
Metal Gear Solid 4 has a 20 minute cutscene before the start of every chapter and takes pride in having 30 minute cutscenes and 8 minutes of gameplay. Yup MGS4 takes the cake; the longest series of cutscenes clocks in at about 78 minutes. That being said, Bayonetta's cutscenes are 5-7 minutes of pure unadulterrated awesomeness.
Exactly in regards to the last poster... Xenosaga is probably one of the top contenders for longest cutscenes in a series, especially the first game. On another topic... speaking of good sized cutscene(s) combined with awesome gameplay... first game that comes to mind... Devil May Cry 3, then again Bayonetta probably tweaked my mind into thinking along those lines, but yeah XD

The game isn't as great as everyone says it is. The graphics are awesome, but that's pretty much the only good thing about the game, in my opinion at least.

God damn I loved Bayonetta (the game), I just wish it was longer and wasen't so cheesey... Some of the dialogue is just stupid. Can't wait for number 2.

@JamaicanFro yup MGS4 has about 3 to 4 hrs worth of cut scenes and the ending cut scene is at least 40+ mins so yeah.
When playing the game, I always look forward to the cut scenes. (:

@sheariner Bayonetta's a master of the Umbran arts, martial arts, acrobatics and guns. I can forgive her for not being fluent in aviation.
