As always, good advice. Definitely like your KISS approach to golf! A few points to remember: 1.) when you close your stance it has the effect of moving the ball forward in your stance. You might find yourself hitting it thin at first. 2.) make sure that the club face is pointing somewhere close to where you want the ball to end up and not open to your initial flight line. Otherwise, you will hit a push out to the right. 3.) small changes in swing path and clubface alignment can have big effects, especially with longer clubs. Start small and work up until you get the ball fight you want. 4.) this technique got rid of my slice. I just kept closing my stance until my slice disappeared. Once I got the relationship between swing path and clubface direction through my thick head,I was able to develop a more neutral setup and I haven’t hit a slice in years. Hope this epistle helps!
Jimmy... once again you never seize to amaze us
Getting your daily dose is helping my game tremendously
⛳️
glad its helping. thanks for watching
Thank you. I was playing a few months ago and wanted my ball to stop going left. I moved my right foot back…just a bit and it went straight. I lost yardage but it was going straight. I had almost forgotten about it until I saw this video. I will be trying this out on Monday. Thanks.
@ElderYvesJ Are you a lefty? If not this is opposite of what Jimmy T was just preaching. I too have a left problem (I’m a righty). Thinking of “ball back, hands forward” to get that Jimmy butter-cut!
Jimmy, another great and informative video, your the best , thanks for sharing, you always have such good input.
im glad its working for you thanks for watching
I’m just pleased with smoothing it and waving to the camera - you’re trying to really mess with my brain, now.
Its a minor change. Im sure you can handle it. If not, ignore it and keep playing your game. No big deal
Amazing! I am so going to try this out next time on the driving range!
let me know how it goes. thanks for watching
As a lefty, I basically have to reverse everything you do to the opposite side, so far so good but this one could be a challenge. Thanks as always for the great tips!
glad its helping you. thanks for watching
Thank you. I don't know how many times I've said I would have been on the green if I just knew how to AIM 😮.
Hey Jim when you're drawing the ball are your hands still towards your front foot 🦶 big fan great video
hands are even with my zipper if I want the ball to go left.
Thanks Jimmy.. I’ll let ya know how it works for me next Tuesday..
sounds great. good luck
Hey Jimmy. Loving the content from Manchester UK. Keep it up. Best
Glad you love it. thanks for watching
Yip I just learned this in my lesson.
Fun video ~ 😉😎
Thanks!
Thanks Jimmy this is helping my game better that all of TH-cam combined!!!
Amazing. Thank you so much!!!
How are those Odin golf balls? X or X1?
amazing. they're the only ball I play.
Looking at where the balls landed and the Odin probably being a "better" ball than the Titleist A draw goes longer. Am I correct?
Draws go further but they are harder to control
Angle of club face at impact is key for draw or fade, relative to the swing path.
True. You know how hard it is to control that in a one second swing? Set it and forget it
Ya, I just control the shot by adjusting club face...and not my feet. The other thing that controls the ball direction is if you mentally aim and slightly adjust swing path coming through impact. When I mentally aim, it's probably the most accuracy I ever get....along with adjusting club face for draw or fade.
Feet start tge line, the face points to where it wants to end up. I keep it simple, it works
I thought you did a similar video to this 1 earlier. Right foot back, ball goes left. Left foot back, ball goes right.
I mean, thats really it. I never realized that by swinging slower, it would enhance it.
Good stuff. I would like to work on this a bit. There are times I would love to shape a shot a bit => not necessarily going for the green, but when a tree is in the way or I have a dogleg. BTW, got my 69 club this week. Pretty sweet. I think it'll (1) help my bunker play and (2) really help on shots I need to land softly, like over a greenside bunker or to a short-sided pin. I practiced with it last week and will try in a real round next week.
good luck. practice with it and it'll change your game. thanks for watching
So the ball position is the same? Its hard to tell the angle of the club shaft from the down the line view, are you saying the hands aren't as far forward as the first swing?
Hands even with the zipper, ball even with the zipper.
@@TropicanaEntertainment Tks for the info!
Do those "man'' pants get a little sticky around 105? 😄
very
Jimmy IMO you partly right. You want align your feet more closed to the target. However the only club where your hands are not in front of the club is the driver. You do that with your irons and your asking for chunks and duck hooks. That might work for you..but not good advice for higher handicap players
“….do the opposite”. I thought your were gonna say you hit lefty lol
Hahahaha. Thatd be epic
Did you forget your video "how to hit a draw"???
I did lol . I never hit draws
