Exactly what I've been saying everyday for the last decade... that the reason Hmong men have multiple wives is because of Hmong women. No one can force women to marry a married man but Hmong women will happily marry a married man knowing full well they will be chastised. The 1st wife can't divorce either cuz she feels she's nothing without a husband. Even today, married Hmong men are going to Laos to marry teen wives and bringing them to the US as a 2nd or 3rd wife and the 1st wife just moan and groan but doesn't do anything... no divorce, no reporting to immigration... even willingly fake a divorce so the US will allow the teen wife to come to the US to be the 2nd wife... and the teen wife knows full well the Hmong American is still married. So it's because of Hmong women not Hmong men. If the woman says no, then there's nothing the man can do. But a significant number of Hmong women don't care if the man is still marry so Hmong has multiple wives.

Not all Hmong women who are married are in your position to carry the endurance or burden. Only most of those Hmong women who were born in Laos and Thailand. Those ladies who are married and born or grown up in the USA never ever possess the same persistence as those who were born or raised abroad.

Hmong men need to stop abusing the patrlinino power. In its essence, it can be for good, but abused and will end up in torment.
If the husband did not abuse this false power, their life would have stayed stable and a better chance for good.
It is sad that our culture can be entrapped in so many heartache situations like this. We need to grow to be better people and respect each other with kindness.

The title doesn’t fit the story because she doesn’t love herself. If she loves herself, she would kick him to the curb and find happiness. She is dedicating her life to prevent him from being with his mistress. Life is too short for that!

Im sorry but one thing that is hmong woman are always stressed hurt the most cause we put our husband first of everything and showed too much respect for them even tho if they are wrong or not.
