    Jeff,
Great info.....it is certainly a 12 month commitment. Planted switch grass yesterday, will spray this week.
Thanks for all your help...I'm anxiously awaiting final plan and planting instructions.
    thanks, Bob

Sounds great Bob...I would spray that Simazine quick! Almost spring green up. Once spring green up takes place, too late to spray Simazine.
Final plan will be of course about the same as the drawing given to you at the end if the first day...probably Sunday will have time to send over the planting instructions for August 🙂

Jeff, could you make a video for us hunters who hunt land that have cattle? I know cattle place a lot of limitations on the habitat but I was wondering what ideas you may have.

I've watched or read just about everything Whitetail Habitat Solutions has put out and rely solely on WHS for my habitat improvement journey. I do have one question that I have not been able to find anywhere on your platforms or across the internet. How can I improve my flats of marsh grass? The area is wet during the spring but the rest of the year is fairly dry. There are small pockets of red osier dogwood, but having difficulties getting those pockets to grow. Any advice on the proper way to beef up the open marsh grass to create deer bedding areas? What shrubs, trees, or grass to plant, when to plant & how?

Great information for A year-round schedule. Here in Maine, the snowpack up north keeps me out of the woods longer than I want to. A lot of lands I hunt is paper company land and Mud season is in effect. We have to stay off of the roads so we do not destroy them. There is a whole lot of waiting going on right now.

I like working year around on my land doing all I can to improve it and hold the Deer on my property. Luckily the back half of my 323 acres is really thick so the Deer of plenty of bedding areas and we also have food plots there to. I do want to add some water holes so they won’t have to go all the way to the creek to get water, I’m trying to come up with a tank that I can use for hauling water once I get the holes put in place. Love your videos and thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

I like the tip of strategising for the next year while in your stand. Especially in the gun season I will bring a pen and paper with me and write down things I’ve learned and new ideas and strategies for the next year.makes the time go by quicker and gets you fired up for plans for the offseason etc.has helped a lot by writing it down.great video!😉

Great Great Info Jeff. I found the part about deer summer time habit being so true. This past season was the first time for me hunting my own land. I stuck trail cameras out in June. Seen all sorts of deer movement. Figured I would stick a blind up there. August comes, I put up my blind and have a 6 week wait for the hunting season. The deer movement was practically gone except for yearlings and young deer. Found out later after putting a few more trail cams out that the deer Used the very back part of my property during the rut and winter. This was something that I did not know about till this year. I thought If I was seeing them in June, they would be there during the hunting season. Now I know not.

I have used Exodus Trail cams... the Lift II model. This will be my 4th season and they are outstanding! Here is a link to check them out...
      bit.ly/JSturgis
5 year warranty and I have had zero hunting season failures. 2" viewing screen, true HD video and extremely high quality. I am running up to 20 trail cams at one time and regardless of the B roll I need for videos...I rely on the trail cams heavily for learning buck behavior, in season census, buck home range and for making informed hunting decisions. OUTSTANDING trail cameras, after hundreds of thousands of pics and videos over 3 full hunting seasons I can highly recommend.

For your own safety, you might want to consider wearing a helmet 24/7.
