Much better experience in Maggie valley than in cherokee. I haven't been there in a long long time. I really like the piece that you bought. Amethyst is my birthstone.
We drive to Cherokee and Maggie Valley every visit to the Smokies. Love the drive and the small towns. Been coming to Cherokee since a kid in the 70s. Has declined a lot from what it once was and needs cleaned up in places but never went into a shop and felt un welcomed. Actually always friendly at least the ones we been to. They still have the dancing in spots just have to be there at right time. Maggie Valley I absolutely love!! I enjoy that little town so much even though there isn’t as much anymore. Just something about it I love!
Thanks for sharing! Noticed the Smokey View Cottages said pet friendly and have reservations here in a couple months. Cant wait to check out the stomping grounds I love some good ole country dancing and music! And the gem shop was amazing! Excited to get some myself ✌️

Absolutely love it.. love the fact you was, let’s say my back yard. Jeff the water feature in Maggie you passed by is where the fairgrounds is located. That’s where the car shows from my channel are done at. The cabbage rose, “Friday’s Forever” done a vlog there not to long ago and the ate at J. Authors restaurant you passed by. Consider doing a video at the “wheels through time” museum.. very interesting place if your a lover of everything motorcycle. Jay Leno visited a couple times there. Please let me know when you guys come back through. Come to waynesville and let me know when you guys are in town! Maybe ride along the parkway, sunburst, lake Logan, see devils courthouse, graveyard field etc..
I had two in Florida and worked 7 days a week for years. I kept all the best ones and sit back and admire them at the cabin. I'm too old to start a new business 😴🙄

Ms. Mari, Joe And Jeff, Maggie Valley is what Gatlinburg was YEARS Ago. All the changes are prolly due to genrational changes in ownership up there.
My family would always stay in Maggie Valley when we'd come up to the mountains. I never got to go to Ghost Town in the Sky 😞
Jeff, Gatlinburg used to have a nice rock shop that closed a few years ago....why don't you open a new one in the area?

Hey Jeff, do you know if the Maggie Valley Opry still operates? I know Raymond Fairchild had a lot to do with it!
I think it closed down not to long after Fairchild passed away. He was one heck of a banjo player.
Use to go there when I was little kid. Think it was ghost town in the sky was open back then

The Gems were in Maggie Valley a very FRIENDLY place. Cherokee was the place that was not friendly and it's just down the street....very sad
