You are in for a shock (not just a surprise) if you decide on checking out more BTS music!😄 It's not possible to box them into any single category! Their youngest right now is 26 and their eldest became 31 last December. I recommend Mic Drop, Fake Love, Black Swan, Run BTS, Baepsae, Airplane Pt.2, Mikrokosmos, Magic Shop, Spring Day and Anpanman just to see their variety in music! Their discography is huge. bts is the biggest boyband in the world. butter broke many records and they performed it at the grammys in 2022, billboard called it the best performance of the night btw, maybe you'll watch it. no, they are not kids, they are grown men. they are all currently serving in the south korean military and they will come back as a full group in june of 2025. ages and stage names: Jin(31), Suga(30), J-Hope(29), RM(29)-he's also the leader of the group, Jimin (28), V(28), Jungkook(26). bts stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan in korean which means bulletproof boyscouts, a name that is related to their mission to protect people with their music and message. they are also known as bangtan boys (bulletproof boys). yes, there are 7 members, 4 vocalists(Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook) and 3 rappers(Suga, J-Hope, RM). they only have 3 full english songs, they have a huge discography covering many genres in korean and they also have japanese songs. for their korean songs most of the lyrics are written by the members and they also produce and compose. they are known for their amazing performance, lyrics and obviously their bond with their fans called army. since 2022 they released solo projects because of the approaching military service enlistment.

also let me add cause some people might forget that they actually revamped their name (I personally think its just an add on to their meaning)...just like RM used to be previously called Rap Monster but now goes by RM so they did something similar with the acronym of BTS. The leader, RM, has an iq of 148. He studies philosophy, art, and literature, speaks English and Japanese fluently (most, of not all, are multi-lingual). So the lyrics are meaningful in their more non-commercial songs. BTS writes and produces their own songs. Just saying bc I wonder how smart and learned some of those pop "stars" out there are.

These seven men are globally popular. They range from mid twenties to 31 years old... so older than you thought. They are all extremely talented and consist of 4 vocalists and 3 rappers. They are currently all in the military. Two will be back in June and October of 2024 and the other four will be back June 2025. React to Not Today, Black Swan, ON, IDOL, and many more. As I said, each and every one of them is very talented and they are all extremely nice guys.
Small correction - five members will return in June 2025, not 4. Easy mistake to make because SUGA entered before the last four did but has to serve longer since he’s doing alternative service due to his shoulder injury.

Y'all are having too much fun!!! Loved your reaction. I'm an ARMY and you need to see much more of BTS. They debuted in 2013. There are 7 members born, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1994, 1995, 1995 and 1997. They are now all doing their mandatory military service in S Korea. Believe me, they can smolder. Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance are their 3 all English songs that came out after Covid to lift up everyone's spirits. By the way, ARMY is the name of their fanbase, the largest, most dedicated fanbase who are very protective of the boys. (sometimes a little too much lol) They have many different genres and most songs have a mv, dance practice and some live versions. ARMY loves to watch reactions to all and will watch as long as you can watch so don't worry about making a long video. Remember to turn captions on as this was all in English but most will be in a mix of Korean and English. BTS is known for their lyrics so please try to read those and stop to go back is fine too. Bangtan Sonyeondan = BTS. South Korean. 3 rappers, 4 vocalists. Debuted 2013. All 7 are currently serving in the South Korean Military but coming back together in 2025. My suggestion would be On Kinetic Manifesto, Black Swan, live version of Magic Shop (actually, live versions of anything they do) and Taylor Mari's guide to BTS. These 7 amazing young men write, compose, produce so much of their discography. Their dancing has to be seen to be believed (Butter is tame in comparison). Most of their music is in South Korean so use captions. They write about things that they believe in and fight for - self love, societal changes, mental health and more. And beyond all that, they are intelligent, humble and kind. You don't find better than these guys. Thanks for giving them a listen. I loved seeing your reaction. You’ll be taken aback when you realize this is just a fun remix, not even the main Butter music video. They have a massive discography and cover many genres. Butter is part of a trilogy that BTS released during COVID to lift spirits and get people moving and dancing. Don’t worry, you will see their other side 😏 They debuted in 2013 and just had their 10 year anniversary. Group activities are on hold b/c all seven are in the military. Jin, the oldest, will be the first one back this June. But it’ll give you guys lots of time to catch up lol.
My favorite videos are: ON Kinetic Manifesto Film, Black Swan, Fake Love (just a heads up, this is part of a running story line that’s called the BU aka Bangtan Universe. A lot of their songs have symbolism and very deep meanings which means some of the songs have explanation videos to help breakdown the meaning in more detail.
I’ve seen others mention it, Taylor Mari has an amazing guide called A Guide to BTS Members, if you’d like to see how they started and learn a little about them.

Other than that, BTS make korean music about self love, mental health, political topics and other important things. They are a group of very talented, hardworking, kind-hearted young men and helped many ARMYS (BTS-fans) through their music, lives, and shows. I giggled when you said freshmen in high school vibes 😂 2 of the guys are 30, the rest are in their late 20s. But yes, they do give off the little brother vibes. At least that’s how I see them since I am older than them. I think it’s part of their charm. They have so many older fans who will tell you that they don’t see them as romantic interests in any case but we will always root for them like how I root for my family to succeed.
They are however the standard of the boy groups you see nowadays. SB19 has never hidden how much BTS has inspired them. In fact, they have done a lot of covers of BTS songs. You got exposed to Butter which is one of the 3 English pop songs they released during the pandemic just to cheer people up but BTS is waaaaay more than pop. You will be surprised by their discography. Their music is the biggest reason why these guys are loved.

I love to see people shocked to hear the rap line, haha. They have 3 really good rappers and were supposed to be a hip hop group before the project was changed into an Idol group. So, yeah, their rappers are great.
Also, keep in mind that the majority of them aren't fluent in English (only RM, the leader, is) so their English songs are more shallow. They're meant to be fun and bring joy 💜

Well I am telling you.. This song is like your just at the outer surface of a thick layered cake.. If you know their real and actual focus of their song you'll be amazed. By the way I'm a DOPE OLD PEOPLE but this young men is actually save me from burnout and depression days. Travel korea for 20 hours in total just to watch their LOVE YOURSELF SPEAK YOURSELF FINALE concert in Korea ☺️ BTS debuted 2013 fyi and the other group you've mentioned debuted 2018.
Samsung Galaxy commercials, They did the McDonalds Meal, and Butter was promoted with it. I don't think it was in the trolls movie. This is the dance performance, and not the music video, but I would recommend their Grammy Performance. That is my favorite performance of BUTTER, the choreography was on another level. Specially done for the Grammy's that was held in Las Vegas in April 2022. They also held a 4 day sold out concert series during that time, at the Allegiant Stadium. Their Dynamite/Butter Performance was awesome there too. I attended the Live play on the 15th, and the Stadium Concert on the 16th.
In this performance in 2021, they are 24 to 29 years old. They are 26 to 31 now. You should check out more. They also all seven have solo work you could check out. They are amazing artists. This song was written and performed during the pandemic when we were all depressed as hell.
They wanted to give fans something fun to listen to and easy choreo for follow along (much of their choreo requires extreme athleticism).
It would take about twenty songs to actually understand what they can do, and about four explanation videos to understand who they truly are.
Maybe to get a spread of understanding, check out music videos for:

They are the biggest boy band in the world now. They were definitely NOT the biggest boy band in 2015-2016. They only got their first win in a Korean music show in 2015. The 2015 Red Bullet Tour sums came to the US, but the venues were smaller and only kpop fans went. Even the tours in 2017 and 2018 played smaller venues (it was so great). It wasn't until the end of 2016 that they sch win a Daesang at Korean Award Shows. Around 2017/2018 they started to get recognition worldwide and started to become known as the biggest boy band. This is when they started to win big on Korean Awards Shows, as well. In 2015, I could mention BTS, and NOONE knew who they were.

They debuted in 2013 as an hiphop group but have songs in many genres.The group have 7 members; 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. Not sure which genre you like but to start with you can try Mic Drop, Black Swan and Fake Love.

While BTS is called a boy band, they are far beyond boys as others have said. The ARMYs, the fandom, is massive and feircly protective of the group so brace yourself. The fandom is among all age groups, genders and cover the globe. I am 57 and find many peers within the ARMYs. They started as a hip hop group in 2013 but now their discography covers a large number of genres. I recommend checking the intro video by Taylor Mori, the one by XCeleste or the video by the Rice Squad so you get a bit of the bigger picture. They are known world wide for their dynamic performances.
Once you get past some group songs, you'll find the solo albums, since 6 of them have created albums waiting their turn in the military. There are +/- 200 group songs, and +/- 100 solos.
