Is it me or does skating that exist outside of California seem more authentic?
I agree -- street skating like this not on polished and perfect streets... The run-up is gritty and chunky and their wheels are big but you really do get the sense that this group would find spots tucked away and decided right away that they would skate it. Even if the landing ground was brick or cobble they put on some all terrain wheels and skated the spots that wouldn't even be considered spots in places like California.

I think you're mistaking "California" for parts of L.A. with shitty L.A. park skating hypebeasts. There's loads of gnarly spots in California.

I always watvh thru these polar vids bc the soundtracks are full of absolute gems like the klaus nomi song. Most of klaus nomi is kind of out ghere but valentines day is an absolute masterpiece.
