LA Days is a film composed by Pontus Alv and Ben Chadourne Edited by James Cruickshank celebrating the Converse Cons X Polar Skate Co. Jack Purcell Pro and featuring Cons and Polar riders Aaron Herrington, Jonas Skroder, David Stenström, Paul Grund, Roman Gonzalez, and Dane Brady.
Taking inspiration from back in the day when you skated all over the beach, the boys carted around some classic happy/sad style Polar Plates and some Venice Beach inspired obstacles, and let the skating happen.

does anyone know how the sound gets added to the video in the editing process? From my limited knowledge with cameras and making skate videos, I've heard that super 8 cameras don't record sound. So based on that, do the filmers place microphones at the spots or on the skateboards to pick up the audio by any chance? This video is so similar to watching a movie in that aside from all of the visuals with the skating and the music, there are so many other atmospheric sounds being added. The "watch it kid" dialogue at in beginning, the birds in the intermission, and the cheers from the skaters make the video so immersive as if every single thing on and off screen from that day was captured. Does anyone have any input on the sound recording and editing processes with filming these videos? Or what programs are used? The filming at the spot with the wall rides at the handball courts was fucking sick too.

ethan kropp some super8 cameras record sound you just need a mic to plug into it

You can use an external microphone and sync up the footage in premiere/whatever programme you wanna use.
Also dunno whether they'd bother doing it with this but sometimes audio is just recorded later and added in. Forr example the 'watch it kid', or bird sound effects.
