Norfolk Southern D49 at E. Peoria, IL - Jul. 1, 2024

Norfolk Southern Railway train D49 (Normal IL to E. Peoria IL turn) is shown at N. Main Street in East Peoria, Illinois early afternoon Monday, July 1, 2024. NS 7034 and NS 3378 have 19 cars. By mid-afternoon, D49 departed East Peoria with NS 3378 and NS 7034, and 41 cars, including four Caterpillar track-type tractor loads. Later, the train attacks the hill at N. Main Street near Morton as it nears Crandall.

Couple of EMD motors.
Couple of Cat D11s, a D10 and prolly a D9 with the assembled cab...bridge height governs cab on or off.

What's with the rotary hoppers, I haven't seen that style of hopper before.
