HAPPY NEW YEAR! I’m so excited to share all of the videos we’ve got ready for you this month! Check out my new eBooks for Meal Prep recipes! mindovermunch.com/ebooks. What are your New Years Resolutions? I’m sharing mine today on Insta Story @mindovermunch!
Fantastic video, Alyssia! I'm motivated to try some new smoothie recipes and add a few other ingredients to have at-the-ready. Your videos are getting better and better all the time -- a feast for the eyes and you keep it moving at a good pace! ~Glory B.
Love these - definitely inspired to add tumeric and pomegranate juice to my smoothies now! My own tip - if you meal prep bags of frozen fruit, let the bag sit out and thaw for a bit before blending it (maybe grab the bag out of the freezer before hopping into the shower). The fruit will blend better when it’s softer and allow for way more flavor. The opposite is true for the ingredients you DON’T want to taste - keep the spinach and kale as frozen as possible before tossing it in!
Loved this! I have been wanting to make more smoothies but can never find a good recipe.. This is just the video i needed! Thanks so much for creating such lovely content :)
Yeeeeeaaay! Videos on Mondays AND Thursdays?? Best news ever! I fell off the healthy train and got run over by it s few times this past year, but I'm jumping back on! Thank you for all your recipes! They're so great, and just my style.
Yum! That sweet potato smoothie sounds delicious. I’ll try that one- it’s so unexpected! I didn’t do New Years resolutions this year, I’m instead making last years resolutions even stronger- eat more plant based, move my body more and do more of what brings me joy! It will be another great year!
Hey Alyssia! Could you make another series of low-cost/fast/easy meal preps again? I love those videos and need more inspo for this new year! 🙏🏼 thanks!!
I would try all those different type of smoothies thank you for this video another year with you makes my year love the way your videos have so much information and detail until next time
Hi Alyssia! Thank you so much for this video! I am looking forward to trying the turmeric smoothie in particular. I love making smoothie packs for the freezer!
Hi Alyssia happy new year! Thanks for these simple smoothie recipes, and wanna say how entertaining your videos are! Keep it up girl :) greetings from the island of Malta
Happy New Year, Alyssia! I appreciate your channel, your knowledge, your humor, and your willingness to share with us all. Here's hoping you have a fantastic year!
so I just bought the vegetarian ebook and I really appreciate the oatmeal cups! That recipe alone will help me out so much! I still am not a big fan of the overnight oats but I love oatmeal in the morning so a warm prepped option is perfect for me! Thanks!
I will for sure try the sheet potato. That sounds amazing. If u can try and make up some smoothies and/or bowls that do no have fruit. I don't do much fruit. Bits a dessert for me and it's challenging to make up some without adding fruit. I'd appreciate it if u could. Thanks Happy New Year!
Most excited to try the turmeric one. I never knew it helped fight depression. Since the spice itself isn't super flavoring I could add it to more stuff too!
Love these recipes, Alyssia. Happy New Year! (Just as a side note, in case you haven't noticed, a couple of the early slides in this video has a typo in the word antioxidants and appears as "anitoxidants". Thought I'd let you know for future videos). Cheers.
Ahh!! Ive been watching since 40,000 subs and its so awesome to see you now at half a million!!! Happy new year!!! Thanks for always making quality videos !!
I love adding oats to smoothies, in my smoothie cup I let them soak overnight to make overnight oats, I then add my fruit, powders, seeds and pressed juice. I never add veggies apart from sometimes spinach because I can always taste them. I like your smoothies because they are actually edible
So many wonderful recipes to try! I think I will make the pomegranate smoothie first! Pomegranate is one of my favorite fruits! Thanks for all of the fitness and nutrition tips! ❤
Thank you so much for creating this video. You definitely should get more than 1 million subscribers. Looking forward to two videos in January, along with different videos. Already ordered the eBooks!
I’m excited to try the matcha smoothie as soon as I can find some matcha! Also, I’m excited to try the freezer bag technique because I am so lazy in the morning! Thanks for the video and I’m really interested to see what else you have planned for the month! 😊😊😊
Love love love your videos. Such great content and the quality of the videos is unbeatable. You can tell how much love and hard work you put into each episode. Thx for sharing!
Great smoothies video. When you blend the pomegranate seed, does it blend completely? I have diverticulitis and can't eat whole seeds and nuts. It will be a good idea if you can create a Vegetarian/Low Carb e-book meals too. Thanks
yeah! Doing low carb as vegetarian can be tough- eggs are great, but if you eat fish that's more sustainable. Without any fish though it will be a lot of eggs for protein and fat :)
Happy New Year, Alyssia! Looking forward to the videos in January. These smoothies look great. I'm not a big smoothie drinker, but I think they can work as smoothie bowls. Do you think they will work in overnight oats? I know it sounds strange, but I like trying new things XD
Thank you, Laura! Great idea for the smoothie bowls- just add less liquid so they are a bit thicker :) I think overnight oats with smoothies sounds like a fantastic idea!!
Susan N yes, black pepper increases the absorption rate of turmeric by an insane amount! I've also heard the same about healthy fats (coconut butter/oil etc...)
Happy New Year, look forward to another year of entertaining videos that I watch and go ooo I must make that but then dont! However, you do entertain me greatly and you do inspire my kitchen endeavours. I so would like to get my head round meal prep, it may be a new years resolution to try in the coming months! :) Hope you have a wonderful 2018.
Hi Elisia (hope I spelled it right ) I love you sooo sooo much your videos are amazing I love how you try to make our life healthier I really appreciate it you really help me alot and of course Happy New Year♥
I made the sweet potato one with roasted sweet potato and butternut squash. I did not have any nuts but used a mix of milk and coconut milk. Oh it was rich and savory and delicious! I felt full all morning!
Happy New Year to my favorite lady! May God continue to bless you with great health, happiness and financial security. Oh and great more ideas so you continue to bless us. Thank you for sharing your brilliance and creativity with us. Blessings!
All sugar is sugar, maple syrup, honey, table sugar, agave nectar, golden syrup, high fructose corn syrup, muscovado sugar, they are all sugars first and foremost. Yes they can be different sugars, fructose, isomalt, glucose, and some may have other things in them, like honey often contains flower pollen and bee parts, but all of the ones listed are sugars. And they should be treated as sugars. Also fruit contains a lot of sugars. So if youre finding your morning smoothie isnt sweet enough, id suggest finding sweeter fruit, that way you atleast get some dietary fibre and vitamins with it.
For a student starting a more healthy diet this 2018 which ebook do you recommend the most in terms of the process and budget the recipes require? I am starting my OJT soon and I wanted to make food to save up instead of going for fast food. Love the video! Already looking forward for more. :D
If you are looking for meal prep, definitely one of the new meal prep ebooks! They both offer easy recipes you can prep in advance to help stay on track and if you're a student prepping in advance can be super helpful! If you're looking for lightened up versions of your favorites my unjunk your foods ebook is great for that :)
I would love to! We just have to find a company that wants to pay for it haha... we can't produce it on our own, unfortunately. We're working hard to try and make it happen!
Hi for the sweet potato puree did you bake a sweet potato and pureed it yourself or did you actually buy a puree? If I can't find pecan milk can I use almond milk to substitute? Thanks 😌 great video
Love these recipe smoothie, I love pumpkin, have you got one with pumpkin in it, I know I can probably come up with one, but, would love to see what you come up with!
I haven't had great success with freezing milk but you could try to freeze it as cubes. I've just found it can separate... I haven't personally frozen sweet potato for smoothies but it can be frozen so that could work!
+Glittery Sawa, I haven't tried freezing pecan milk, but in the past, I have frozen almond milk with mixed results. The texture was a bit "strange" (i.e. lumpy with particles floating in it due to separation); however, it tastes okay. Nut milks in general separate once frozen.

yeah!!
I use greek yoghurt and rolled oats in all of my smoothies to keep me going for longer.
awesome!
That is such a good idea! I'll have to try this :)
Sorry if this is a dumb question.. but is the greek yogurt in place of the milk?
@@hannahglenn5052 I'm not sure but I've seen recipes with both 🤷♀️
@@hannahglenn5052 no, greek yogurt here for sources for fat and protein in your smoothie and make your smoothie smooth, you still need add some liquid
