    A big thank you my man. I wished I had seen this before. After my Airbag light came on I took it to the Ford dealership who claimed they fixed it and charged me over $600. A few months later the light came back on. I was planning to take it back, but divine inspiration led me to your video. I tried what you suggested and the air bag light is no longer on. When I checked NONE of the plastic clips were removed as instructed in the TSB. Yet the Ford dealership claimed they fixed it.

    Thank you so so much. Me and my husband detailed a 2016 ford explorer and when we turned the vehicle on to drop it off to the customer the light was on and it wasn't on before because we picked the vehicle up. My husband was already calling shops to get it fixed but I found this video and my husband did what you said and it didn't turn back on as we headed to the customer. Thank you so much

      That little trick right there just saved you about $1,000 because what they charge to do the technical service bulletin is installed two connectors that have like 6 to 12 wires a piece and each one of those wires have to be spliced in

    Huge thanks today I must have pulled on this connector while pulling this chair forward. I was starting to pull my hair out trying to figure out why this light came on out of no where then seen this video. I immediately went out to my truck unplugged and plugged this harness back in and started the truck and it was gone! Thanks again!

    This worked for me and is easier than it sounds! Find the plug he references, pull it and re-plug it and your airbag light might just go off. If that works consider the value of the additional steps to reduce the liklihood of it happening again. Thanks for sharing the info and TSB!

    Fixed the problem with my explorer. took about 15 minutes. I had Corwin Ford in Nampa Idaho look at the issue. They told me, there were no TSB's out on this issue (NOT TRUE obviously), then charged my $146.18 to tell me 2 codes had been registered on the computer (B141B & B141C). They they told me only one of the two part number I needed to fix the issue. On top of all that they told me the wiring harness' referred to in the video were below the center console of the explorer. Turns out I should have watched this video from the beginning and saved myself 146 bucks. This is why dealerships are crooks. They take advantage of vulnerable people who just don't know enough about cars to help themselves. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!

    My light came on, I took it to Ford to diagnose the code and they said $800+ to fix it. Drove home and the next day the light was no longer on. They said to still bring it in for a new pigtail. But could it be that when they diagnosed it, they loosened it enough for the light to go off and stay off? Wondering if it still needs to be "fixed" since the light is now staying off. About to put a car seat back there so want it to be safe. Thanks for any help!

    Thank you so much and i appreciate your time for responding back.. One last question... what do you mean when you say "turn the key off for 30 minutes"?
    do you mean to turn the car off for at least 30 mins or take the key out the ignition for at least 30 mins?

    • @FordBossMe
      @FordBossMe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Turn the key off like as in turn the vehicle off like you're getting out of it to go in the house and you don't need it on anymore and leave the back door cracked so it's not latched so that way when you go to open the door back up it doesn't wake up any modules it's already open and then undo the connector and plug it back in and then start your vehicle and see if the airbag light goes away

      Turn the key off for 30 minutes you don't have to unplug anything on the vehicle and then remove the connector and plug it back in make sure you put a little bit of xg12 in it that's Ford's electrical Grease but you don't necessarily need to grease you can do without it for now but if it comes back put the grease in there I don't typically answer to many questions in the comments anymore because I'm too busy during the day and everybody needs my help And when I put out my videos I typically just leave it at that

      You can unplug and plug it back in and that might work but I would suggest cleaning it out with a little electrical cleaner from CRC and using some Dielectric grease from CRC in the connection just a little bit putting it back together and you're fine couple key Cycles later airbag light typically goes away

      but when you reconnect it and everything's back online you bring it all back up to Snuff
      It's just a brief connection break and the computer needs to see it a number of times but it doesn't compromise the safety of the equipment it's still there you're good you just have to disconnect and reconnect and hopefully you do it exactly like I say in this video play some xg12 or CRC electrical Grease
