For real. He just makes such fun and addicting gameplay loops. I can't stop playing Poinpy just like I couldn't stop play Downwell when it came out lol
The art style feels of Pikuniku, music is, well, Calum Bowen, gameplay feels new and unheard of, overall, one of the best mobile games I’ve seen so far. Also, it has a genuine skill level.
update. I've spent the day playing Poinpy and talking about it with people and everything I say stands and more so I ADORE this game. it may legitimately be my game of the year. I have so much fun and pure joy playing it. I don't know the last time I found a mobile game this appealing. but I keep getting the same sentiment from my friends I tell about it. they don't wanna play games on their phone, they didn't get Netflix to play games, they didn't even know netflix has fames, something about the idea just feels off to them. I'm obviously just a random internet commenter and I'm not expecting anyone at devolver to read this and go "oh we gotta make a steam and switch version right now" I assume there's deals in place and all. I just hope someday this game can make it's way somewhere else because it's actually a very special game that's super tightly designed and I'd hate to see it's release platform kill it's potential to have players enjoy it.
One of my greatest fears is that there will end up being dozens of 'game streaming services' like we have for tv now, and each one has to be payed for separately rather than just steam. That fear alone is reason enough for me not to play this. I love Devolver games, they are by far my favorite game publishers, but no way in hell am I ok with this.
I can't believe this guy left Nintendo only to then release a game exclusively for Netflix... Anyway, I've given it a shot. Definitely not as great as Downwell but it's quite fun.
I think that's what brought this game down (IN POPULARITY WISE) It's a really good and charming game and I wish it wasn't stuck in the underrated status
Imagine if it's released as full price and the team can't get the money invested back and has to shutdown. Being on Netflix means they probably will make more games, exclusives or not.
From the creator of Downwell comes Upwell.
Hahaha
HAHAHAHA
Update:just beat the game, it’s a fun time for sure. Really challenging tho
Yep.
Downwell was one of my favorite games of the past 10 years, and so far I am in LOVE with POINPY. Ojiro Fumoto is so incredible at what he does.

I love Calum Bowen so much. Every game he scores is a must play for me
bo en is amazing fr
And not to mention he composes for like the BEST games. 😭
@@tetraploid5000 totally! Ever single game he’s worked on is an underrated classic imo
@@tetraploid5000 frrr
This is the most underrated game I ever seen
Shame to see this get snagged by Netflix, hopefully it doesn't last long. At least I can assume the dev is getting paid well for the deal!
Only reason I was able to play was because of my moms Netflix, if not for that, I would have not played this game.
Moppin did it again. This game is super addicting just like Downwell is. Very great stuff.
NOT ME JUST DISCOVERING THAT POINPY HAD A COOL OFFICIAL ANIMATION THIS WHOLE TIME-
I'm always delighted to see stuff by Moppin, I'm just a little mixed on the decision to work with Netflix here.
I love you devoler digital, the games are absolute quality, I love sludge life
Based, Sludge Life is a great game everyone should play!
this is genuinely a very fun game but I find it very hard to recommend to people because of how it was released.

That soft mew at 0:18 lol
If it comes to Steam I'll buy it. Netflix is on my shitlist.
I wonder why
@@BlueisNotaWarmColour lmao
the animation was so cute. i want an anime where the monster cat gets all the pets
Attaching yourself to Netflix is one way to make sure people won't play it
Reason?
@@pistachoduck9128 cuties or whatever that clusterfuck was called
@@lordhorses I mean also it's not a platform for games lol

@@lordhorses wtf are you talking about lmao. That was years ago
Cool to see something new from the Downwell Dev
I beat it recently after playing and not finishing it 3 times and Jesus was it great
I'm a few hours into this game and it's so satisfying! GOTY contender.
we wanna talk about that Warioware DS soundfont?????
poinpy is my god now
This is so Poinpy
This game is so so good, I'm addicted!!
Put this on consoles please. I don't want to do precision platforming on my phone.
On Netflix?
Yeah it’s a new thing there doing
I can't believe this guy left Nintendo only to then release a game exclusively for Netflix...
Anyway, I've given it a shot. Definitely not as great as Downwell but it's quite fun.
Can you blame him?
he probably got alot of money from that deal.
Music is very Pikuniku-like.
Super Mario World remaster looks nice
I own the Team Poinpy X handle 💀
I. LOVE. POINPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Glad this was cut from the presentation. I just unsubscribed from Netflix & like hell am I going back.
Such a shame the game is locked to Netflix. More people need to this peak mobile experience.
I think that's what brought this game down (IN POPULARITY WISE)
It's a really good and charming game and I wish it wasn't stuck in the underrated status
I can vaguely excuse Bleak Sword only being released on apple arcade but this is ridiculous

dumb take
This gives HARD doodle jump vibes
...netflix?
Is that Bo en i hear?
Is LOVE Game 💖💖💖
this looks like a netflix original
i like this. a not soulless mobile game.

via netflix? wtf
netflix? what is netflix? It's a torrent tracker?
10/10
Looks really similar to Leap Day. Not complaining, LP is a good game!
There is a puzzle mechanic that make the things tricky and a nice upgrade system!
Fun
:)
Lol nah
on netflix...wow. I am disappointed
FINALLY. UPWELL
