Thanks for catching that. The selection for the drop-down should have been applied to all the columns so when the sort is done it would apply for the whole row. Pinned your comment so other will know too 😉
I liked the concept of the RACI chart. Helps clarify roles and tasks within a project to keeps the team aligned and understand the part they play in the process/project.
Thank you! you saved me. I updated a old form and my boss wanted to know how I did it so he can implement it else where. When I mean old form I mean OLD form, probably no one knew existed for over 4 years. I knew how to do everything but how to make the angle. Plus I learned some new things which seem awesome to figure out what to use em for.
just FYI - came back to use this awesome description to make another (non-RACI) table with some data validation and conditional formatting … and it looks awesome! thank you (again)! 🤓
Doug, I really enjoy your posts. On the RACI chart, the way you set up the filters at the end (on just the first two columns) appears to lose the data entered in the columns at the right when you change the step number and resorted. Would you want it to work that way?
Homero Cardoso: This is a very good system to organize a department, having each associate with an specific task will lead to less finger pointing in case of a problem is encounter.
Hi Delese Wilson, thanks for the comment! If that is meant be multiple values (i.e., A & R, it would need to be another entry that "makes" it one value like A/R)
Either create other value categories that combine the values like A,C and assign a different color code. Or for each role have four cells for input of the RACI letters and merge center the headings (roles) across the four cells for each role
The person can also be "tagged" as informed as multiple stakeholders can be categorized as informed. However in a project task it's good practice to have one stakeholder held accountable.
During the sort at 10:25 the rest of the row didn't follow to row 30. Why?

Hi Patricio Cardoso, thanks for the comment!
is it possible to insert multiple cells in a row?
Hi Delese Wilson, thanks for the comment! If that is meant be multiple values (i.e., A & R, it would need to be another entry that "makes" it one value like A/R)
thanks a lot now i can done my home work;D
how do you assign multiple roles for a person e.g. Finance - A,C
Either create other value categories that combine the values like A,C and assign a different color code. Or for each role have four cells for input of the RACI letters and merge center the headings (roles) across the four cells for each role
ok sounds rudimentary, thought there might be a more sophisticated solution. thanks though!;)
Thanks
Thank you my loard
Hi Muhammad Sheffin M S, thanks ! 😀
nice video ...
Hi Nandkishor dhakad, thanks for the comment!
What if a person needs to be both accountable and informed?
The person can also be "tagged" as informed as multiple stakeholders can be categorized as informed. However in a project task it's good practice to have one stakeholder held accountable.
Dear Friends, I have a question: Can I create RACI matrix on my company value chain?.
yes it can
go to minute 4:50: you have to separate this way: R;A;C;I- otherwise it won´t work with excel 2010
Hi Ronald Knak, thanks for adding to the thread!
Obrigado.
