Just watched as a refresher. I played a year ago and loved it but put it away and now have forgotten the rules! Good game but it takes alot to get it started! Thanks for a good play through!
Hi, thanks for taking time to watch, I do appreciate that! WF will always be one of my favourite games but I have to agree with you, setup time can be a bit off-putting sometimes 😊👍
@@soloboardgaming on the plus side, it adds some element of excitement when in the game you say, "I'm glad I bought that"!...or..." I knew I should have bought that"! It happens EVERY game! Cheers!
Yes you must Rough! You started all this in the first place! I have just 2 more Warfighter vids to upload, one tomorrow and the final one Thursday. I'm really enjoying having it out again. Apart from a bit of rustiness it's been like riding a bike (actually I'm rubbish at riding a bike). Thanks for having a look :)
Great playthrough. Thanks. I think there is a mistake. The recon keyboard tells you that the location must go to your hand. Once in your hand, that location requires you to spend one action to play it. You played the card directly from the deck, which I think is wrong.
Really appreciate the playthrough! Ty for your time and efforts in making these wonderful vids! Now I have a tough choice... warfighter, fields of fire, the last hundred yards, combat commander or another game? Not sure what to choose. I’ll probably eventually get them all but this video has helped me tremendously, ty!
Thanks for the visit, I'm glad you liked the vids. I just love all those games so much! If you have an opponent I'd always recommend Combat Commander above any other multiplayer wargame 😊
You seem to hang on to 'Location Marker' cards rather than immediately replacing them with actual Terrain cards. To quote my rule book: "There are several Location Marker cards in the Action card deck. When you draw a Location Marker, discard the Marker card and immediately draw a Location card from the Location card deck. Add the Location card to your hand." I'm just learning. Am I missing something?
Hi Craig, you're right of course but maybe ive just formed a habit. Doesn't really make a big difference of course, maybe I'm just prioritising my thoughts, but really appreciate the comment 👍
Just played my first Maquis game, and got stomped lol. Got to a location, and the hostiles that spawned, one added +2 to the entry cost, and the other two each triggered an event... and both events added +2 to the entry cost EACH!. +6 to entry cost!
@@soloboardgaming You're not wrong! Tell you who I do like out of the Maquis pack : Omega. He gets 3 actions, an StG 44, a Model D pistol, a grenade AND Ghost! He's only 10pts as well!
@@soloboardgaming I do recommend him. Also, I'm liking the shotgun from the France #2 pack. Hits on a 5+ (reloads on a 3), and once a turn, you can spend an XP to attack with it a second time, without expending a second action. Only holds 4 ammo, and has a range, of course, of zero, but it's a great weapon IMO for the Maquis, as it's cheap, hits often, and you can potentially get 4 attacks off in a single turn. If you have someone who gets +2 to hit, you have an 80% success rate, and it'd even hit on a reload roll!
What a fun game! That house draw was brutal! 5 points to get through and time running down. This feels like it’s suddenly gotten very hard. You may have mentioned this in the first episode, my apologies if I’ve forgotten, but is there a campaign with the game where you take the same people on a series of missions? Thanks for doing this, my workout on the elliptical went super fast thanks to this. :)
Haha! Hi again Zilla, glad I helped the workout mate! Yes, Warfighter is such a fun game and you can link missions to form a Campaign. Carry the same team or add non-player and squad soldiers as needed :) And best is, there are so many nation card packs that you can fight almost any battle or campaign you wish!
@@soloboardgaming So when you run a campaign like that, is there a progression or skill advancement of the main characters you are playing? In Sherman Leader, for example, your leaders get experience based on mission performance and then get better cards as they progress through the campaign.
@@ZillaBlitz In my opinion that kind of development is limited. You do earn mission points at end of each mission and use or save up those points to purchase more skills. I haven't checked but I wouldn't be surprised if there are fan-made improvements to the campaign system. The big challenge is survival. You will lose team members and therefore have VPs deducted. It's a great fun challenge!
Germans in the houses waiting for your approach... they spot you and get ready for the attack... pressure is coming on now.. better by on your A game next video..
I know! Thing is, that village holds 3 strength points of Hostiles. If I'd drawn the Officer first (a 3 point card) then he'd be on his own! Bad draw man, bad draw :) Thanks Jester!
@@soloboardgaming that's the breaks... just have to figure out a way to keep the resistance going.. P.S. we talked about you and your warfighter a few times today on the War Room show... just so you know..
Really great playthrough so far, you sure know how to add even more flavour to this game.
That's really good of you to say so, thank you!

I usually add 1 to the enemy cover when they are suppressed. After all, they are taking cover. Nice play through
