- Vanguard melee only run in Phoenix 1 (and with the use of defences)! The shield is bugged at the moment as it doesn't work against bulls. Though it doesn't seem to be a very big issue since you do get quite a lot of juggernaut spawns - they do spawn together but that is quite rare. Plus, we do have "Centre of Attention" to stop bull charges.

Found a new "cheese" spot in the first area at 7:05, basically zeke loses aggro and will despawn after some time - however it only works with a barb wire at the side. Though with a squad, others will still take the zeke aggro unless everyone stand here together. Waiting for my shield energy to replenish at 20:15. There was a screamer spawn at 24:50 which I couldn't get to, so was kinda waiting for it to despawn before heading back to the final area to setup. Having 4 turrets at the end at 30:10 helped to control the horde since it is a smaller wave without bots, plus I had the chainsaw and shield + melee to clear the pyramid as back up.

9:42 How do you disinfect yourself with the shield covering yourself? I try and it doesn't work.
You have to time it right - I recall pressing the shield button almost immediately after starting to disinfect. Works with healing using medkits as well.

vanguad's shield is very confusing to me, sometimes it blocks it when it is not raised, but it can be raised and I still take damage.
Melee run with no slasher? What sorcery is this? 😂 Good stuff!
Haha now that there's Juggernaut, Vanguard might actually be better in melee only run 😄

What is best melee with vangurd ?
Heavy hammer or sword - most players tend to go for sword because you can make use of dead teammates to heal up since Vanguard is usually the last man standing if things go to shit.
But what sword, what's the name of it?
