  • Tom and his longtime friend Dave Grusin sit down and discuss the remarkable (and historic) career of the composer, arranger, producer, pianist and co-founder of GRP Records. From Dave’s early career with Andy Williams to scoring “The Graduate” and “Heaven Can Wait” to building a hugely successful record label to being the subject of a documentary and more.

Thank you so much for this great interview with one of the true geniuses of modern music! You and I have had so many conversations about our mutual respect for this incredible musician. It was great having someone who worked with Dave extensively do the interview, and your research and preparation really kept the momentum going, and that made it very interesting. Great job, Tom!

Great interview, Tom. That arrangement of Fool On The Hill for Sergio Mendes has always been a favorite of mine. A Latin 3/4 feel. Timeless.
