Book shelves… well hell… it must be difficult to stay on point and super subjective when you get another set of book shelves to review. In watching this video I am reminded about what you do and why. You give honest reviews of speakers for the consumer. I could never do what you do. My pallet would be so incredibly coloured by other listening sessions. Subjective and objective you are. Thanks for the listen and the lesson. Countless people with different tastes, budgets, room considerations, size factors, wife factors, new buyer, or the person just trying to dip a toe into hifi. You consider them all in your reviews. Cheers to you and another great review.
There are a few makers of GOOD speakers under 1k. Some mentioned Ascend, and another is LSA by Underwood Hifi (also factory direct) and there are others. I would like to upgrade my Klipsch RP600MIIs one day (I heard the Dynaudio Emit 10 vs. the Klipsch RP600MIIs in a store and the Klipsch won for me) they are awesome for the money too on SALE... Thanks for another great review!
Your videos always have a great flow to them. Never noticed this but the way at the start you had the mic up and your mic skills and using your arms and hands is like WWE superstar 😂😂
thank you for the superchat, I have heard many Arendal speakers though and I can confidently say that one and the RBH 5i tonally are very similar, the RBH is slightly more forward in the treble but tonally they are similar, I think it would be a great combination.
Thanks for the review as always!!. Im interested in RBH MTM style monitor speakers i think they are like 110000 a pair and also thrrs a version with there own AMT style tweeter @1400. You should look into these models also
A 3/8 in. cabinet wall worried me until I saw it was HDF. The aluminum driver can sound exciting but wonder if it would do similar things as other speakers I have heard. I seem to prefer paper/wood pulp over Al but havn't heard them all to say it's across the board. What I noticed is that it brings alot of energy and excitement but something about how they handle detail, effects in space and separation. Others' I have tried were MA Silver 100s (just too much thrown at you) and ML 15i (like a toned down Silver 100). I really liked the 15i for movies but music it just didn't seem right to me. Really like small speakers for what they do right overall at lower and moderate SPLs.
@@NemoPropaganda ah bummer! Might be a nice compare in your current series. Fun track recommend for you - Bela Fleck, Flight of the cosmic hippo. Great deep bass, banjo, piano and horn! Have a great day!
i don't really enjoy revieweing powered speakers but I have heard those and they are pretty darn good, I've also reviewed the smaller transparent zero +.
You're so good at reviewing that sometimes one doesn't know which to finally settle for... 👍👍
thank you for the kind words, you're welcome to hop in the free discord if you need help choosing between products :)

Great review! Do you think this speaker would pair well with Arendal 1723 thx monitor (LCR) for surround/ back duties?

@ thank you! I’m also considering the smaller 5-IW due to limited space. Hopefully it’ll sound just as good as the speaker you reviewed 🤞
Good Job. Keep pumping them out. :)
Seems to be speakers that would suit my ears together with a KALI WS-6.2 sub,, 😋🤘
Cheers Nemo,, 🍻🥰👍
Great review. Thanks for sharing.
Nice review. I like factory direct speakers. Any chance of reviewing Ascend Acoustic speakers that are in the 1k to $1500 price range?
maybe, I'm trying to stay far away from the $2k category right now so below $1500 for speakers is where I'm looking.
@@NemoPropaganda cool the LX is $1000 so that gets my vote

Would love to see you review the ML Foundation B1
maybe in the future :)

the RBH 5i does not use an aluminum tweeter.
@@NemoPropaganda woofer/mid driver.
@@nc3419 ah, I must have misread.
Hey Nemo! Love your reviews. curious if you’ve ever spent time with the ELAC Carina speakers with its folded ribbon tweeter and under 1k.
I tried many times to get my hands on a pair but could never make it happen.

I could be wrong, but didn't several members of the (now defunct) Boston Acoustics form this company? RBH? 😺
woops, wrong comment, sorry I'm not familiar with the origination of RBH or their staffs prior work history.
RBH Sound is located in Utah, for what it's worth.
Don't think so. RBH was founded in 1976.
First.. like!
