Thanks for checking it out. After hearing how the audio came out i came to the same conclusion: it was just too loud in there for it to not be annoying to listen to.
Good stuff. I would REALLY love to see (and hear) some of those Pearl mics being put through their paces. And they're actually not the only rectangular diaphragm condenser mics to have appeared in your video, as in recent years Audio Technica have also delved into this area, including the AT5045 mic that was being shown on their stand.
We're getting in touch with their distributor to see if we can get some loaners to try out in the studio. And you are right about the AT's! I remember the 5047 having that chocolate bar look with 4 rectangular parts to it. Hopefully the distributor follows through so we can hear them in action! Thanks for checking out the video!
