Make More Budget Build!! "Maybe a Used Diesel Engine?" Too Bad your not in Canada, or i would send you one , But Shipping cost would cost more then the engine itself is worth.
"Well, there is no warranty or guarantee on anything" Enter priceless "so you're going to screw me, because YOUR parts don't match, off of YOUR parts cart???" Face.
Yes, you just have to ask around i got a gokart for a carwash and a motor for free and a centrifugal clutch off of a mini bike for free and a free chain just ask around
You know what I want to see? An all projects head to head shootout, of everything you can get running: the cheap heap, the $50 kart, the rat rod wagon, minibikes and the CT70s. What gets the most bang for your buck (and more importantly, the most smiles for your buck)?
And then you graduated from a big wheel to a small bike with training wheels and your parents still called you a dumbass behind your back while you were riding.........
Not sure why people hate those Tecumseh powersport engines. Had one on my cart and owned it for a little under 10 years and didn't once have a problem with it.
RATROD WAGON!! PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING SACRED IN THE WORLD OF KARTING!!! it would be awesome to see it updated and pimped out. Motor swap proper seating... Man. The possibilities are endless. That thing is cool.. It deserves to be upgraded and take its place next to the ducati and the rail! Which is killer. Also give the rsil the ducati engine. Jus saying. You guys kick ass!!
Project Farm didn't invent that.... And I know I probably didn't either. But, I never heard of it before I tried it back in the early 90's when I took an old 3/8 socket extension and cut the female part off, and grinded it down to 1/4" to fit in an old corded drill we had. Had to duct tape the socket onto the extension. Old two stroke lawnmower, couldn't get a replacement recoil starter. I was about John's age then, I'm about double that now..... It's a great technique to clear the cobwebs out of a motor that hasn't run in a long time.
Watching you guys have this much fun hanging out and wrenching on these small engines honestly just makes me smile. Keep up the great videos and having fun guys!!!
It’s great to see go karts back on the road again.and guys finding them and fix them up.those zinc rims could use a deep cleaning and shine them up.thair worth saving.
thanks to you guys I recently picked up a racing cart and I don’t regret it at all. can’t wait to start modifying it and because of your videos I feel like I know a decent amount about them. keep up the good work!
I like having seen $50 go kart AND the cross kart. I am hoping to make an old homebrew frame into a slightly offroad gravel... Thing. Your and Taylor's $50 go kart AND the cross kart and trophy kart really inspire me on a cheap fun project!
I had problems starting my 212 and after I wore out my arm I started using my cordless like you did. I always start them like this while tuning and/or working on them now !!!
You 2 have so much fun playing with junk. I'm in love with that Ducati cart! Love to see you win the lottery just to see what you build. If this channel gets 1 kid to build a go cart you have given then knowledge for a life time of fun.. Keep it up guys, I will keep watching.
Great channel guys! I like the cheap builds but also appreciate seeing you guys stretching yourselves like on the drag kart. I vote to keep doing both types of builds.
I AM EARLY!!!!! Yes. I have a homade swamp buggy with a gator cart rear and a club cart front, custom chassis, 420cc predator. Let me know if you want to see a few pics of it. I got it for my 16th birthday, I have been wanting one for years and never had to opportunity to buy one. May 29 is my bday as I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips or parts to make it run better thanks a lot guys. P.s. I have been watching you guys for a couple years and have always been inspired by you and your builds have a nice day.
I just did that same thing and came to a three dollar build. It's not bad. Have vice grips for a staring wheel lol and no floor board. But I like it. Thanks for the help and the fun from the videos. Keep them coming.
when you took the air box off the black cover has that little red flap in the winter you put it in the position so the heat from the engine on the fly wheel goes into the air box and in summer you put it in the other position so no heat gets in and thats why it runs so crappy in the hot weather
This was a good one, timing was perfect. You did this with hardly any tools and some sweat. Back to your roots. John I’m thinking you will probably be married and have kids before your truck is done. You’ve got my support though and I’m sending you some more bondo to help out. I’m thinking if it can’t be fixed or built with Go Power Sports parts it may not happen.
Hey guys! I have a request. Can you guys show us how to make a Go Kart out of things you can buy at your common “Home Depot” or “Lows” store (or your local equivalent), from research and design to purchasing materials and building it, all the way to synthetic numbers to real performance, as well as a comparison and possible “upgrades” (really just better parts, but you understand what I mean). The main thing I’m asking is for you guys to build the frame and make it work for cheap, although I understand that you would more than likely have to use most of your industrial grade equipment such as welders and stuff to make most of the parts work together. Thanks! ~TL;DR They should make a go kart from only things they can buy at their local hardware store!
You can buy a new replacement carburetor on Amazon it's an after-market it's really a lot more adjustable than that piece of crap that's on there now they're only about 12 to $15 and if you have Prime you have it on your doorstep in 48 hours I know that's a little consequence for this show but in the future and he can CrossFit them over to Briggs and Stratton 4 more tunability on mini bikes go karts in that kind of s***and have guys have fun love the show.😎💣
+CarsandCameras, if you guys have dirty carbs and other used parts that could be returned to service after some elbow grease/restoration work, I'd be happy to help.
Tecumseh engines were decent engines, I have a lawn mower with a flat head 3.5 hp Tecumseh engine that I bought new about 30 years ago. I have a large yard and use a lawn tractor for the majority of the mowing and use the small mower as a trim mower. It is decently cared for and runs perfectly, usually starting on the first pull. I wouldn't call it a power house but they are a decent engine if cared for at all.
I rode one of these yerf dog go karts yesterday, and it’s really fast! Being a small go kart with one wheel drive and a new carburetor. It belongs to my auto tech teacher. But man, that engine is small and somewhat terrifying in my opinion!
Do a budget build from start to finish, frame, engine and everything. Get an engine from a lawnmower or something, convert it to a horizontal shaft, and everything else
This is two funny! I finally found a go kart for a 100 bucks Canadian with the same engine on it. I had no idea what it was until we started watching this video. My son is 5 years old and watches you guys everyday. Time to put him to work and see if he learned anything from watching your show. Cheers!
CarsandCameras I mean when you guys were Messing around with smaller engines and Jerry rigging them just to go for a ride, I love the videos and have been a fan since you put out the videos on the rat rod wagon, (yes I know the Jerry rigs aren’t permanent, however “it’ll be fine”) and as far as the whole tv thing it just feels like I’m on edge waiting just to se if (whatever you’re working on) will move and then you got 45 more episodes on one Build, however I know y’all r busy and the road wasn’t paved in a day, just keep on doing what you do
I want to see an episode called "fixing the fleet" where you fix and get all the parts to complete all of your carts bikes trikes and so on. Like carb cleaning stabilizing fuel and Maintenance Maybe make a small string of episodes.
I have a cheap mini motorcycle. Motovox frame with 50cc 4 wheeler motor on it. I bought a carb and a coil. My buddy hooked me up on a rear sprocket and got the 428 chain from a guy at work. Maybe 70 dollars total, but it was so worth it
Hay bud what u guys should do is make a twin engine go kart with the 2 engines from the trail 70s. Idk what frame u would put them on but try to make it a little more off road. Thanks
A+ for the name on the white board ..cheap heap..love that name..glad to see this old crusty running again..and for 28 bucks...what could go wrong other than that rusty chain breaking..lol
Awesome vids guys! I saw a pink lookin mabey a peddles boat where you scored the to gokarts, im sure its been brought up but didnt read the comments. I think you guys should score that for dirt cheap and revisit the amphibious build with that. Keep em coming!
I've missed the budget builds!
So have I!!!
Make More Budget Build!! "Maybe a Used Diesel Engine?"
Too Bad your not in Canada, or i would send you one , But Shipping cost would cost more then the engine itself is worth.
Me too!:)
CarsandCameras hell yeahman same here
"Well, there is no warranty or guarantee on anything"
Enter priceless "so you're going to screw me, because YOUR parts don't match, off of YOUR parts cart???" Face.
I'm never that lucky to find stuff that cheap to fix up like you guys do lol ... Keep up the good work guys
Yes, you just have to ask around i got a gokart for a carwash and a motor for free and a centrifugal clutch off of a mini bike for free and a free chain just ask around
I can't even find a go-cart here that's partially complete (that some guy is not charging 200$ for)
Jas u still got one of them
You know what I want to see? An all projects head to head shootout, of everything you can get running: the cheap heap, the $50 kart, the rat rod wagon, minibikes and the CT70s. What gets the most bang for your buck (and more importantly, the most smiles for your buck)?
This exact go kart was the first go kart I ever drove when I was like 11. I thought it was the fastest thing ever.
And then you graduated from a big wheel to a small bike with training wheels and your parents still called you a dumbass behind your back while you were riding.........
Casman how bout now?
Castin how was the throttle rigged up
@Sychronix no they don't sell them anymore they went out of bisnuis.
@Sychronix you get them recked
Make a new series called cheap Tuesdays
Yes! I like it! Or Thrifty Thursdays ... =)
Youthfulcross44 yes. Just yes.
Youthfulcross44 it’s Tuesday May 14th, 2019 and I have PARCC testing RIP
LOL good idea that way you can think of your mom every time you watch it
Savvy Saturday
Wow you guys have to do more of these
Not sure why people hate those Tecumseh powersport engines. Had one on my cart and owned it for a little under 10 years and didn't once have a problem with it.
Rukus Machine sameee
Same here, had one since 98, we beat on that thing, but it runs just as good as new and still starts first pull.
Same mine starts on one pull
Because i never had good luck with them. I like my briggs and Stratton engines
Then you’ve been very lucky
RATROD WAGON!! PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING SACRED IN THE WORLD OF KARTING!!! it would be awesome to see it updated and pimped out. Motor swap proper seating... Man. The possibilities are endless. That thing is cool.. It deserves to be upgraded and take its place next to the ducati and the rail! Which is killer. Also give the rsil the ducati engine. Jus saying. You guys kick ass!!
Cool project i love how you deducted the socket lol
Starting it the Project Farm way
Shane Affsa I love that guy's videos
Project Farm didn't invent that.... And I know I probably didn't either. But, I never heard of it before I tried it back in the early 90's when I took an old 3/8 socket extension and cut the female part off, and grinded it down to 1/4" to fit in an old corded drill we had. It's a great technique to clear the cobwebs out of a motor that hasn't run in a long time.
Budget builds for life
I was grinning like an idiot during the entire race part. You guys are absolutely right, the smiles per dollar can't be beat with something like this.
Cheap builds rock! More cheap builds would be cool!
Watching you guys have this much fun hanging out and wrenching on these small engines honestly just makes me smile. Keep up the great videos and having fun guys!!!
It’s great to see go karts back on the road again.and guys finding them and fix them up.those zinc rims could use a deep cleaning and shine them up.thair worth saving.
heck yeah! Love cheap builds, keep em coming, fellas.
Praise the Lord, son!
Trump 2020 !!!!!!!
Didn't see the front tire cost on the build, but that takes me back to your early budget builds. And yes, keep doing them! Cheers guys! Zip~
thanks to you guys I recently picked up a racing cart and I don’t regret it at all. can’t wait to start modifying it and because of your videos I feel like I know a decent amount about them. keep up the good work!
Do more builds like this just a little more money. Fantastic build loved it
BUDGET BUILDS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME ....AND EVEN ENCOURAGED......"HOW TO DO MUCH WITH VERY LITTLE....:")
YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!
28.25 plus the grippo from the trash can, love it, great video gentlemen.
I like having seen $50 go kart AND the cross kart. I am hoping to make an old homebrew frame into a slightly offroad gravel... Thing. Your and Taylor's $50 go kart AND the cross kart and trophy kart really inspire me on a cheap fun project!
build a jon boat with a predator motor running an old lower unit or paddle maybe
a lot of gator boats in the swamps run that style..maybe a 22 horse kohler or something but i have seen them on swamp people show
one of the plastic peddle boats with a 670.... oh yeah
love low buck builds! cool to repurpose junk and make it work!
Excellent. I like these cheapies.
Small budget builds seem more fun as they are cheap and anything can be added, usual they are lighter aswell cos there isn’t owt expensive added on 😀
Love this idea, I think a lot more people will be inspired to see you can build cool stuff without spending a lot.
nothin like two big kids in a little go kart, keep em coming!
Is it me or is seeing an old go kart engine cranking up for the first time (in who knows how long) oddly satisfying?
I had problems starting my 212 and after I wore out my arm I started using my cordless like you did. I always start them like this while tuning and/or working on them now !!!
It's always fun to watch junk run!
We don't all have sponsors helping us afford parts. This type of thing is GREAT to see what cool things can be created with very little to begin with!
The eraser trick definitely seems like something I would do! Love it!
You 2 have so much fun playing with junk. I'm in love with that Ducati cart! Love to see you win the lottery just to see what you build. If this channel gets 1 kid to build a go cart you have given then knowledge for a life time of fun.. Keep it up guys, I will keep watching.
Rick Hurt Yes! Love it when folks post pictures of their inspired builds on FB.
After 4 back operations my projects stopped. But I did store everything for my son that's now 16 and digging into them. Lol
Rick Hurt Time for a side by side for dad with Good shocks, lol!!
Lol no doubt.. But atm we both have TJ wranglers on 35's. Cops have already been to my house. Lol
this channel is like the roadkill of go karts
Great channel guys! I like the cheap builds but also appreciate seeing you guys stretching yourselves like on the drag kart. I vote to keep doing both types of builds.
Mark Hendry Well put! 👍🏻
Very nice! Thumbs up to the budget builds. No tools no plans....
jmachadom It’ll be fine!
I just did that same thing and came to a three dollar build. It's not bad. Have vice grips for a staring wheel lol and no floor board. But I like it. Thanks for the help and the fun from the videos. Keep them coming.
Randel Adams Nice!!
I've made your intro my ringtone. I love the looks I get when I get a phone call!
More budget builds!!
when you took the air box off the black cover has that little red flap in the winter you put it in the position so the heat from the engine on the fly wheel goes into the air box and in summer you put it in the other position so no heat gets in and thats why it runs so crappy in the hot weather
Really?? Thats intesting lol.

You’ve got my support though and I’m sending you some more bondo to help out. I’m thinking if it can’t be fixed or built with Go Power Sports parts it may not happen.
Makes me think of the good ol times when y'all raced in the yard. Need to bring those vids back.
I love it when you wrench on and drive the mini cart and go bike!
Love the name. The Cheap Heap!
Love the acceleration, that thing rockets off the line.
I like cheap because it relates to me better!
Ahahahaha! 😂
Please do more really cheap projects. Maybe a buildoff to see who can go fastest for $100?
I think the wagon should return.
I dont know why but I really enjoyed this one.
Aaron Anderson I love the cheap go karts
Damn, that looks like great fun!
Hey guys! I have a request. Looks fun wich I could be there
More budget builds for sure.
yall should build this one up and take it to the dirt oval!
I would like to see more budget/ low cost go carts.
Love the budget builds...
This is my fav type of vid on the channel
More of these kinds of builds please. Very entertaining and informative.
I also missed the budget builds, its the reason i subed 3-4 years ago.
Pleaaase keep doing easy newbie builds
+CarsandCameras, if you guys have dirty carbs and other used parts that could be returned to service after some elbow grease/restoration work, I'd be happy to help.
That was hilarious more super glue and duct tape builds
Tecumseh engines were decent engines, I have a lawn mower with a flat head 3.5 hp Tecumseh engine that I bought new about 30 years ago. I have a large yard and use a lawn tractor for the majority of the mowing and use the small mower as a trim mower. It is decently cared for and runs perfectly, usually starting on the first pull. The classics are what we all miss!! Keep the rad video's comin!
I rode one of these yerf dog go karts yesterday, and it’s really fast!
Being a small go kart with one wheel drive and a new carburetor.
It belongs to my auto tech teacher.
But man, that engine is small and somewhat terrifying in my opinion!
4:16 Love that big ol grin. That's the look of success
Man, you guys sure have some flashy jackstands ;)
After years of searching i bought my go cart frame its a beast i'm going to restore it this summer Thanks for inspiring me
PopcornBleach 👍🏻 Nice!!!
Love the budget build. NOW... hop it up with a predator 212, no other changes, then rematch race, same 2 laps and course.
I have used nylon caps, like from a can of bondo from walmart, and a hole punch to make seats for carbs before. Worked pretty good in a lawnmower
Do a budget build from start to finish, frame, engine and everything. Get an engine from a lawnmower or something, convert it to a horizontal shaft, and everything else
I’ve enjoyed this one quite a lot. Much more interesting then just popping a predator on there.
This may be a very promising build
This is two funny! I finally found a go kart for a 100 bucks Canadian with the same engine on it. I had no idea what it was until we started watching this video. My son is 5 years old and watches you guys everyday. Time to put him to work and see if he learned anything from watching your show. Cheers!
FordRacingNation this is a nice hobby once you get into messing with the engines
FordRacingNation they're great motors
Glad to know your snow has melted and you can work on stuff. We were still getting snow last month here!
Aaaand my day just became a whole lot better
This video was pretty unexpected but IT WAS AWESOME. I love da budget build man!
Y’all should go back to your roots I love the old cars and cameras it seems too much like a tv show now
People telling them to go back to their roots. Now it really is just like Roadkill.
What do you mean by back to our roots?
CarsandCameras idk what hes talkin about it's not tv like at all to me ya your videos have changed but its not like they are ruined
Great video as always guys!
I have the same kart and it’s fun to ride around.
I have a cheap mini motorcycle. Motovox frame with 50cc 4 wheeler motor on it. I bought a carb and a coil. My buddy hooked me up on a rear sprocket and got the 428 chain from a guy at work. Maybe 70 dollars total, but it was so worth it
I want to see you guys take an engine trans and front clip out of a fwd car (used for cheap) and build an off road cart around it!!
You make it look fun and easy
I look forward to these videos. Love them. Thank you guys.
was that your off-road trash can build?
Your mom
@@gamingwithjames9987 my mom what ?
Oh the good old days of riding through the neighborhood in cheap go-karts.
The pronunciation of Tecumseh in this video cracks me up every the time. "It's got a Teecumpsie engine in it" - John 2018
Been looking for years for a cheap kart man u guys get lucky all the time.
Great video
You should revive the racing mower or make a Offroad mud mower
I know using the drill may sound like a good idea but if the engine kicks back on the drill it can kill the drills gearbox and possibly the motor too.
not if you use a drill with a clutch ;)
You guys are inspiring me to be a mechanic
Hay bud what u guys should do is make a twin engine go kart with the 2 engines from the trail 70s. Idk what frame u would put them on but try to make it a little more off road. Thanks
Go on like this illike it very much!
A+ for the name on the white board ..cheap heap..love that name..glad to see this old crusty running again..and for 28 bucks...what could go wrong other than that rusty chain breaking..lol
Id like to see you guys do full size motorcycle builds
Awesome vids guys! I saw a pink lookin mabey a peddles boat where you scored the to gokarts, im sure its been brought up but didnt read the comments. I think you guys should score that for dirt cheap and revisit the amphibious build with that. Keep em coming!
