    Hey David, great video! I saw a comment in one video - ToneX amp Sounds, when recorded through interface - sounds horrible. What your take on this? Can we record the dry signal out of tone x or better to mic a physical amp? thanks!

      Hi! I see no problem to use the tonex as only an interface, and just sending the dry signal. I would recommend to set it up so you always send a dry signal och also sending a wet signal. Just so you can easily reamp :) Personally i've never mic'ed a real amp so cant speak to that unfortunately. But personally i dont think the interface you are using to get the signal into your computer affects so much, but then again, i've never tiered the top tier ones (and never will...) :)

    So i just bought the ToneX Pedal to use for guitar playing near my pc and in other rooms, but i also want to use it as a Audio Interface. I want to use studio monitors at my pc, should i connect them to the ToneX Pedal or to my pc?

      I would connect them to the Tonex. Or do you have another audio interface that can drive the monitors?

    Thank you so much for the info about the TONEX pedal. I was almost ready to throw it out the window until I stumbled upon your tutorial. The IK people do provide a ton of info but it's difficult to go through without seeing a true demo situation. Thank you again. I subscribed to your channel. Thank you again. Much gratitude from me, in Detroit.

    I have a question for Tonex users. My settings are the same as in the video (interface mode, usb dual and instrument input Tonex in2). The volume knob in Tonex does not work. Is this correct?

      when you use it as an audio interface, most of the nobs are just for show :)

    Of course I was just installing the TONEX software and of course I was thinking that reading the manual isn't neccessary. Oh boy, how wrong I was. Thank you so much for doing this video!! ASIO driver is a must and USB dual mode is a killer feature!

    Is it possible to turn off the pure guitar signal in Tonex One and listen to the signal from the application through headphones plugged into Tonex One?
    When I connect Tonex One to my computer via USB, I hear sound from the application and from Tonex One in the headphones.

      i havent tried tonex one, but in the "regular" tonex you can disable the selected tone from tonex and only use it as an interafce. ti do this with simple hold the stomp button for a couple of seconds. have you tried that?

    Do you know if there’s any way to manipulate the audio volume -+ from a windows computer or programming a hotkey to use on pedal knob using the pedal itself as a audio interface? I found is possible to tweak it on the pedal going to Global mode S -> interface -> db volume; but that’s not practical at all given the pedal will be used along with the PC in the same place. Thank you.

      Unfortunate no, i would like the same, to be able you lower or higher the volume on the pedal itself. in that way its pretty basic as an audio interface

    Will live mode have more output? My sound guy said I wasn’t sending him enough volume. I wonder if this was the issue.

      i'm not sure to be honest. Should be the same i think?

    How to connect tonex to amp?

    • @davidtguitar
      @davidtguitar  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do you mean an ordinary amp? You can use the pedal as a, well pedal, if you disable all amps and cab in it

    • @markw9512
      @markw9512 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don’t you just want to disable the cabs, not the amp? What I do is to do that and just set the tone controls flat on the amp I plug into, it works pretty well
