Thanks for this! I can now go for the 533dc without wondering what could have been ..

Thanks for sharing! Great to know! What I'm finding is the one I can turn on and off with a smart plug. You just showed me it works!

Do you need to keep the purchase receipt in order to get the warranty?

Hi, great content. I'd like to use this in a 220V country. What does the tag say? Is it open range or just 120V only?
In an Amazon question someone answered DC models are open range.

Thanks. For the records, Vornado and other fans don’t cool the room. A thermometer would prove that. Agreed that blowing air on your skin definitely gives you a sense of cooling

They will cool hot spots by distributing air. Generally speaking the rooms where the people are the most will be warmer than the more vacant rooms in a house. Same for room sizing - smaller rooms heat up faster and also central AC will typically not cool all parts of the house equally.
In my example I have a home office in my bedroom and it gets several degrees warmer than the rest of the house. I use these to move air from the living room into my warmer room and they work really well. They're not AC replacement, but they can definitely allow you to set the AC a few degrees warmer than you would otherwise in summer if used right.

I disagreed just bought one from lowes and I got it in the corner facing the wall at a 30-45 degree angle and I can already breathe better (firstly), but the room has Definitely cooled like a garden with constant mist

You think humans and room temperatures are the same? Fans don't cool the room, they cool us.
