- I'm probably the Jamaican that's most excited about the new Jamaican E-passports or biometric passports! Int his video, I give a tour of the new e-passport that Jamaica started issuing in April 2023. From cover to cover I will show you what's new and what to expect in the new passports.

Also, apart from polycarbonate page, I was hoping to have a major upgrade or changes to the visa pages, instead of only doctor bird and ackee, they could have put our beaches, buildings even our heros…but nothing of sort. Not so exciting, bty, I like the new Canadian passport design, just beautiful. Do you know that your passport also printed by the Canadians?😂 Nice video! Keep up!
Yea that’s also true! I’ve seen some passport where they have different pictures on each page! It’s like you see everything the country is popular for by flipping through the pages! Yes! I saw the Canadian passport design too just amazing! Oh really Canadians print out passports? 😮

@@OshandoJohnson yes I applied from Belgium, haha yes cause even the PICA writing and not the symbol I was wondering. But good job with what your doing
@@carinenewman7451 it definitely makes more sense to have it as text instead of the logo because it’s easier for other people to validate.
I'm so excited Pakistan also launched the electronic passport but the first page of the holder it's similar to like a plastic card and I love it
That’s the type of first page that I was also hoping for! 🥲 Great to hear electronic passports are being offered there though!
The chip is in the cover page, I was using an app recently (not Ja passport) and all it said was the put the front of the passport near the phone and it was able to read everything, I guess the next upgrade would be to have polycarbonate page but that will take some time similar to EU countries that are rolling them out now
Oh cool! Which app did you use? I’m also really hoping they switch to polycarbonate at some point but I guess that will be another couple years.
It’s the gov. UK ID app, not sure if it works for people outside the UK whose details might not be in their system

Why not try to do it directly online? It would most likely be faster. Oh cool! How was your experience studying in Germany?
Another change that i notice was there isnt the small coat of arms that sits on the bio-date page.
Oh yes you’re right! Maybe it’s still there but you need special light to see it 🤔
