Asoka was definitely a fitting choice for this song: a female Jedi who faught alongside an army of male clone troopers, regularly saved the lives of her comrades and barely ever chose to kill living (none battle droid) combatants
Yeah 😀 I also see a lot of similarity between Star Wars and history such as WW1/2. Hell, the 1st blasters ever used were leftover modified wartime guns and the Stormtroopers are based directly off the German Sturmann units
This doesn't just show respect to history, it acknowledges how history can inspire how characters are based from. So this amv shows great respect for the historical part the song was inspired from, but pairs it with a character who walked in parallel to the real person.

This is now the theme song of my circle of the mood druid character, the only problem is that she absolutely has the will to kill, though she does prefer not to when possible. She has a tragic backstory and has spent most of her life training or fighting in dark forests ("who has wandered through the dark") she has served the highly militant shadow druids ("served the iron squadron the toughest of them all") but decided they were too violent ("returning to the light") and she was too willing to reach peaceful solutions for their liking (soldier with no will to kill with a philanthropic heart") she wears an unpainted steel chestplate and carries 2 shining steel scimitars and a steel shield, all of which are kept clean and polished despite years of use ("all that metal shining bright") she is not afraid of death and will fight to the end ("don't fear the reaper, don't fear the war") and she does indeed break the norm and is a girl in uniform, however the norm in this case is more about her personality and back story for a druid than simply being a female who fights and she does indeed fight side by side with men and will fight until the end. She also prefers to beat her enemies in a fair straight up fight ("she'll fight for honour"), as part of my 3800 word backstory she has fought in a full scale war (" A lady goes to war"), has always been skilled in combat and enjoys fighting ("for the front line she was born") and is well known in Neverwinter and the druid circles around it as one of the most successful fighters during the war ("celebrated hero") and since then has been fighting almost constantly but has for the most part enjoyed it as long as she was fighting to defend her people ("from war to war, a place where she belong") and has been either training or fighting since birth ("she'll fight for life") and as a member of the circle of the moon she is certainly a lady of the dark. I swear I created the character before I heard the song. As for a philanthropic heart, she is officially chaotic neutral but closer to good than evil and does help people without demanding anything in return, unless it will be extremely dangerous or expensive.
Great video! Would love to see you do more sabaton and star wars stuff. You're definitely on the right track, often matching the right scenes with the right lyrics. If I may just give some small feedback, sometimes the scenes change rapidly, or you have a few frames of a different scene, before there's immediately another scene. For example at 0:14 to 0:16. This makes it a bit difficult to watch. If you can, you should probably try to avoid that. Still, keep it up!
