@matt_tube The XT-1 has the best sensor out of any Fujifilm camera. I’ve seen and read reviews where people would say that the XT-1 is their desert island camera and for good reason. The sensor is widely raved as the best Fuji has ever made and people still prefer it over newer ones including the XT-5. The JPEGS have that filmic look and are amazing SOOC and the RAW files are also very full of life and some of the best I’ve ever seen. I’d do some research but I’m telling ya the XT-1 is it and it’s so affordable and don’t forget you can always adapt your vintage lenses on it as well
I sold all my 35mm cameras and bought a Leica M5 and two Barnack Leicas this year. The shooting experience is very nice with those RF cameras, but with a below $5k budget, I got terrible image quality with those 50s-70s Leica lenses. I got the same image quality by shooting with $100 M42 lenses, but yes, most M42 lenses were quite ugly, and so do the cameras. Some of my friends started shooting Leica five years ago. Eventually, everyone was using Leica M6. I felt embarrassed to use my $20 Parktica L2 when hanging out with other photographers. Sadly for me, Leica is like a ticket to be an acting member of the film photographer community. I don't think as a camera, there is any special about Leica M.
