From Cincinnati, was it at Bogarts? Saw many a good shows from the British Bands back in the 90s Jai, Everything But The Girl, and believe Alison Moyer. She is like Pat Benatar…..small little waifs, but Powerful voices to make up for those small statures!

I was so looking forward to seeing her. I had tickets for Tears for Fears for their Derby concert, and Alison supporting. Curt Smith (TFF bassist and vocalist) broke his rib and they had to cancel. I hope I can get a chance to catch Alison live again (and TFF of course) because this song still sounds phenomenal after so many years!
First of all an admission without shame that, back when Alison was in the public eye, I would still say she had a great voice even tho' I was a complete Metalhead. Secondly, she's half the woman she was! Well done to her to get in better shape and still keep her voice in trim too.

Objectively judging a great singer, comes in 2 forms. 1) Via rating their singing ability, and 2) Rating their stage presence/performance ability as an entertainer. Alison Moyet is a great singer, however...over the last 30 years--and increasingly so...over the last 10 years...she has proven to be an amazing entertainer. We know the phrase and title "A Star is Born". As per Alison Moyet, a slightly different wording comes to mind--"A Star is Reborn"--and in doing so, she now exceeds the greatest heights of her career. Bravo, on a great performance...and blossoming anew!!!
