  • Was it a wise decision? Probably not? Was it a fun decision? Absolutely. Not sure if I’ll do any other vids on it I was just really excited about it and wanted to share this monstrosity!

I am a new subscriber and im a bit of a vw enthusiasts. I currently own a b6 passat and have enjoyed owning it going on 8+ years now. I am interested in the VW Touareg, and specifically, this generation of the v10 models. I would truly be interested in your experience of it thus far and if you have any regrets of purchasing one with that amount of milage. Thanks.

No regrets so far! It’s a high mileage VW and I fully expect it to not be the most reliable thing in the world so when something breaks I’m not heartbroken because well… I almost expect it to. But I love my Treg but I wouldn’t recommend one to anyone that isn’t an enthusiast or can’t afford to maintain one

Yes I've got the same model V10 I'm in the UK mine is a 2004 and comes with the start button as well but I've never heard of if you use it it drains the battery that's quite a random thing the best thing for you to do if you're going to keep this is to buy what is called vagcom from a company called Ross tech here in the UK it's software specifically designed for old VW's and a few of the makes of vehicles too it allows you to get into every single system there is in the vehicle and it will even allow you to change some coding in the gearbox to make the gearbox perform a little better as there are several codes you can use if you do research on this you'll see... And on my model I'm quite lucky as I have the centre diff lock and also the rear diff lock as well and to have all three diff locks front gearbox and rear is extremely rare but good luck in your ownership depending on how long you have it for the only problem that I have is the price of diesel I need to get mine remapped from 300 BHP to 400 BHP and much better economy ✅👌🏻

passenger front door is sagging. you need to loosn the door hinges and lift it up a bit. there is a video online on this. do this before it completely gets stuck. for both front doors... easy fix

@@Mshi- If you don't care much about speed get the R5 (TDI) which is half this engine (2.5 liter V5 and has everything moving by gears - just as the V10). No timing chains or anything. You'll avoid engine out repairs and you'll have a very reliable and off road capable SUV. Just research what oil you use on these PD engines. They wear the cam lobes if you use anything else than VW505.01 spec and 5W40 oil.
