the lines in this scene were her audition lines with Jackman. The spanish was actually ad-libbed during the audition as was hitting Jackman. Jackman told the producers he would not do the movie without her as X-23, changes were made to the script to include the ad-libbed lines and acting. I really hope a legacy of the wolverine movie can be made with her as an older X-23.

Whats amazing is that Dafne Keen during the audition asked to improvise a scene. So she sat down with Hugh Jackman and this was the exact scene they came up with together. So the fact it made it into the movie is amazing.
So from what i saw in the interviews, doing the scene like this was the child's idea. She asked if she could improv the scene and they liked it so much they kept it in the movie. I will say, I think she's the ONLY one who could punch Wolverine in the face and live to tell the tale. The chemistry between her and Hugh Jackman (and Patrick Stewart) was amazing.
Apparently after the scene Hugh Jackman apologised for swearing at her to her mother, who replied something along the lines of "That's ok, she just called you a cunt in Spanish"

I think he was exploring a part of humanity that we don't really like watching but we have trouble looking away, like a car accident on the news. I also think he realizes how much of a colossal negative impact these stories had on fans and the world in general. I hope that in the future we move away from these negative stories and move back towards positivity in entertainment. The world is cruel enough, why must our escapist fantasy be even more cruel?
Although I agree with most things here, I disagree about hating it or wanting the course of art to change. Logan delievered, in a long time of superhero movies, a true conflict that's deeper than beating up the bad guys. Although the beginning is *really* harsh, Logan and Xavier did find a purpose, that was to protect the new generation of mutants they thought were becoming extinct. And they did it. From the rock bottom, death and despair, right up to the sky, life and hope. Even the colors seems to be brighter by the end of the movie. This movie made me feel really sad for them. But, once you see that they completely overcame all those bad things, it lights an unique feeling of hope

I don't know why, but I love that line so much. It's so funny and serious at the same time. Also, if he had absolutely 0% hope he would never agree to go to a place he didn't think existed. He was going for her, but on some level it was for him too.
Logan being so mad she could talk the whole time and then immediately telling her to shut the fuck up once she starts talking is one of the best moments of organic comedy in his entire saga.
When you never really thought yourself as a father but then a single child changes your entire life. This film speaks volumes of how parenthood often takes us by surprise but once it find us, as hard as it is being parent, it changes us and awakens us to something that we never thought ourselves capable of.
Dafne Keen has such a good career ahead of her. Seeing her in Logan and His Dark Materials portraying two very different characters (while speaking two different languages at that) at such a young age is impressive.

So from what i saw in the interviews, doing the scene like this was the child's idea. She asked if she could improv the scene and they liked it so much they kept it in the movie. I will say, I think she's the ONLY one who could punch Wolverine in the face and live to tell the tale. The chemistry between her and Hugh Jackman (and Patrick Stewart) was amazing.
Apparently after the scene Hugh Jackman apologised for swearing at her to her mother, who replied something along the lines of "That's ok, she just called you a cunt in Spanish"

Seeing wolverine broken, exhausted and just done with life is really heartbreaking. Same thing with prof X, both are passed their glorious days and struggling just to get through a normal day is really sad.
I hate it when they create storylines like this. It’s from riches to rags type of story but instead of money it’s position in life such as a superhero turning into a bum etc. I can’t stand that premise even though this movie was well-made.

I think he was exploring a part of humanity that we don't really like watching but we have trouble looking away, like a car accident on the news. I also think he realizes how much of a colossal negative impact these stories had on fans and the world in general. I hope that in the future we move away from these negative stories and move back towards positivity in entertainment. The world is cruel enough, why must our escapist fantasy be even more cruel?
Although I agree with most things here, I disagree about hating it or wanting the course of art to change.
Logan delievered, in a long time of superhero movies, a true conflict that's deeper than beating up the bad guys.
Although the beginning is *really* harsh, Logan and Xavier did find a purpose, that was to protect the new generation of mutants they thought were becoming extinct. And they did it. From the rock bottom, death and despair, right up to the sky, life and hope. Even the colors seems to be brighter by the end of the movie.
This movie made me feel really sad for them. But, once you see that they completely overcame all those bad things, it lights an unique feeling of hope
