Considering I came from dragon heir, which closed service for us region, I can't say I'm surprised. If you have no expectation, you won't be disappointed. The only thing you are entitled to in these games is the ability to spend real money to buy virtual currency that you can use to buy gacha currency for collectibles you don't actually own. Predatory? Unfair? no one said casinos were fair - it's about perspective
My argument was going to be that at least you have to go to the casino, but in fairness you've already accounted for that! We are downloading these games, the same way we go to a casino. I feel like all forms of online gambling probably need tighter regulations, at least some external body to check they're operating to the degree they claim to be!
Anybody who knows anything about computers knows that there is no such thing as RANDOM number generation. It's ALWAYS programmed, so is "rigged". A friend of mine wrote a program to generate "random" maps. When he entered the same seed number to start, the program ALWAYS generated EXACTLY the same map. This seems like something that isn't known by the poor saps who gamble on line. Don't spend any money on these games, spend it on living people.
If done correctly it "shouldn't" be rigged, if they generate the seeds in a fair and normal way, then leave the seeds to generate the numbers without interfering, then you should get your true Pseudo Random numbers, which is why I still feel like there was some malicious intent behind this scandal.
The games pretty cool, been playing for about 200 days or so, never really had an issue with summoning at all, maybe had to go to pity 3 times or so outta 6000+ summons, Though spending a lot on summons isn’t any different from buying a lottery ticket
I stopped playing after I beat every stage I could beat before needing very specific heroes to push further. I don't know if it's the same now, but without Setram you couldn't do enough damage to realistically fight the hardest mode of the clan boss.
@@don_holiday it's a lot less hero specific right now with how often they drop substitutes for specific heroes, other than Elowyn, every hero now has a replacement (Elowyn does too but it's on ancients, nobody gonna see that hero)
I am playing this game for a year or so, and have spent maybe $2,000 USD. Shameful but it is what it is. I went to hard pity everytime. Not sure how I fell about this yet.
Thankfully I got creator rewards, but alongside my spending, it was probably close to that amount also. I don't think any amount of ingame rewards can compensate for this, but I can't see how we'd be able to get refunded for some of our purchases.
The rate rigging thankfully wasn't for everyone. My account on one hand has had no issues with this and my luck actually has felt WAY better than others. I looked at my summons and have never had the 50 summons. Again, this is NOT for every account.
You could argue it both ways which is the problem... Because your account wasn't rigged to get a legendary within the first 50 pulls of every banner, you've missed out!!
they are probably not the only one rigging their RNG i'd say there are probably 90% of gacha games out there doing that. anyway if you want a great and fun Gacha game play Guardian Tales it's a Zelda like gacha game with a really nice story puzzles and gameplay probably the most one of all
Id say you're absolutely right! I think all of these companies should probably be investigated! I can gladly say that I'm moving past my addiction to them though, and my bank account is even more thankful!
And they called this issue a "scripted bug" in Wor! I spend few hundreds of euros in this game and for sure from now on my wallet has scripted bug also to not spend a cent anymore! 😂
I've had a few people contact me saying they still play, but they've had Apple refund all their purchases. Only downside is it leaves your account in negative diamonds. One person showed me they're at -250k diamonds XD
I honestly start to think all the W gold we had on the bug was from the money they ripped us from Somebody should investigate this but its not right W gold bug Right after they get exposed with the RNG And right after they compensate us. Something not right
I dont know why but i cant put the link on the comments it gets deleted Basically fastidious made a video about it saying to get the rewards was like 12000 w gold 18 stones and 5ancients stones and more
@don_holiday thats so right for peoples who spent a lot idk if they could make it right anymore but for me who has spent maybe 500 in a year could be done easily i'll take 2-3 random legendaries few stones and divines lol im not that hard to deal with ^^
I'll at least take the better version... Edit: Feel a bit guilty that maybe my response is arsey, I like Asmongold quite a lot, just had this exact comment like 4 times in the past few weeks, so getting a little old XD
@@don_holiday no idea, most ppl played for 5 mins and quit. the gameplay was dry, even sponsored streamers were dying to end the sponsored section quickly and never came back
I hope you're not inferring me there, I'm simply calling out a dodgy company for potentially rigging their rights intentionally, being very illegal, in hopes some old whales of the game seek possible legal action. I would love to be a large enough channel to push massive changes in mobile gaming as I think they're all shady as hell!
@don_holiday Not specifically you, there are plenty of creators making similar videos, bringing light to the bad doings of many different games & companies in the Gacha space... Gacha is literally gambling. Regardless of the way it's done... If your actual money can only buy you a CHANCE at a specific virtual item, it's gambling... Casinos of all types have always rigged the outcome in their favor... "House always wins" is a saying for a reason! I'm just saying regardless of the origin of the name belonging to the gambling mechanic, it's pronounced: Gotcha! I don't think that's an accident! 🤷
Yeah Gacha is literally gambling, and I was really hooked on them for years since they basically formed a gambling addiction!! Every day I was looking for new packs to buy, very sad XD If I remember right the name Gacha comes from old Japanese vending machines called Gachapon? Something like that! I've heard many people say it's pronounced gacha, and many people say it's Gotcha! What really worries me is the players of this game reacting to this news and going "Eh, they made it whole with their compensation - it's worth X hundreds of dollars", when it cost the company nothing to send out those rewards.
@@naimgrizzly7280 Do you know that gatcha is a system that prays on your inhibitions? They've tested brain function to see which methods work best to keep a person hooked & wanting more. They've literally done their homework to ensure you keep spending. On certain types of people it works really well & can have disastrous results (to the individual; company is fine). It's a system designed to pray on the faults of the human brain. It's unethical. Literally human manipulation by the entertainment industry. They're sorry because they got caught

I've played gacha games for over 10 years
Watcher defo is the best
But they gotta make things right
#WORMAKETHINGSRIGHT
I don't know how they would make things right, no amount of in game items would make up for the real spent imo

Same i had the same bad luck. As others had very good luck.
As soon as I started my free to play account, I saw how terrible my main account's luck was, something seemed off to me at that point

I never played Dragonheir, but didn't they settle on Seasonal content that actually reset per season?

Yeah.. stay away from gatcha games.
For your mentality & wallet sake.
Whats got mentality to do with it ?
Wallet ?? Just dont put any money
Its just a GAME..
It's not always that simple @naimgrizzly7280, I can tell you from experience it's very easy to get a gambling addiction from these types of games :/

Unfortunately an estimate of 100-200k players a month, generating 7 figures of money each month :/
