How to Create a Home Screen Widget for Android

In this video, we will learn how to create an Android Home Screen Widget.
We are going to add a widget to our Notes App (link to the project below), that will display a list of Notes on the Home Screen of our Device.
Obviously, we cannot cover everything there is to know about widgets, but by the end of this video, you are going to have an understanding of how widgets work, how to customize them, and basically, a good starting point to create your desired widgets.

We don't like the widget for Google calendar. The app cannot be uninstalled to replace it with an older version. The app doesn't allow an older version to replace a newer version. We must create the widget from the old version, but how? Many thanks and best regards

We cannot "force" a device to show our widget.
