    Just so you know, it’s ALWAYS windy and summers are pretty quiet in terms NO TOURIST or less than what you would expect.
    Another thing, COYOTES are more afraid of humans than you would think, so they do not attack.

    Buying land is a good idea, if you want to build a home for yourself, or sell a house. Building a home for the sake of making an AirB&B in an already saturated market is a poor choice, since the ROI would likely take 20-30 years. Also incorrect, there are multiple hotels which are always booked, and yes, lots of AirB&Bs. You are walking into a market that has been established for years, and is only becoming more popular/expensive. If you are looking for marginal returns, hostile locals, and to essentially alienate yourself from any understanding of what it means to own property in a real community, you should continue doing what you're doing.

Also a breakdown of cost of permit, foundation, water hookup, sewage hookup, garbage bill, electrical hookup, internet hookup, yearly property tax, yearly insurance premium, cost of hiring engineers such as drafters and geology report, etc, etc. Thanks.

    It’s unfortunate that this is a common thing. You’re not unique as MANY folks are doing the same exact thing. There is an over saturation of short term rentals (Airbnb’s, VRBO)
    Facts you don’t know is 1256 STR in Joshua Tree alone, don’t forget there are nearby areas with an over saturation along with many Hipcamps.
    In fact many of my local realtor friends are seeing many investors selling their Airbnbs/ STR because of how competitive it is.
    This video is contributing towards the housing shortage issue of the area. Home owners are ending leases and displacing long time tenants for this purpose of making a buck.
    And good luck building on Joshua Tree woodland. If you are unfamiliar with the Joshua Tree protections, familiarize yourself. Don’t buy property with the expectations of developing on land that has Joshua Trees. Currently no one can relocate (TAKE) a western joshua tree as they are protected at the moment.
    Please watch this video and get the perspective of locals.
    STR in Joshua Tree is a problem. Coming from a local, your pipe dream is a part of the problem that perpetuates the housing shortage of those who want live here, can’t afford to purchase a home because of investors like yourself over bidding offers.

    Hey Ana. Congrats on being a land owner. I am currently in the same position you're in. However, I plan to build a tiny home @29palms and live there. Pretty much the city over yucca town. I'm very interested in your progress because I plan on making content on the progress and don't know much about the process of getting permits , surveying land etc.. However, you will never learn if you don't ask. Lol anyways I hope we can learn from each other's content.
    Have a great day and good luck!

      My wife and I just bought a house in Twentynine Palms a few weeks ago. If your plan is for AirBnb, good luck. Permits are taking months to be approved and I'm pretty sure they just put a cap on how many STR's are allowed as a percentage of single family homes.

    • @marksimmons3093
      @marksimmons3093 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tylerchasebusiness1001 You are spot on. The City of Twentynine Palms recently passed on ordinance that caps STVRs at 500 for years to come. Thank God! There’s a whole bunch of us locals in the Morongo Basin who aren’t happy with the influx of tourism into our area. Thus, pushing long-term residents out onto the street or desert in this case.
