    I just bought Behring wing for my studio after this feature was added. I am absolutely impressed with the quality and flexibility of the desk. It has revolutionized our studio. I will have to do a video sometime about it. Couple of things missing for me is:
    1. We should be able to output a Matrix to Main. I have no way of monitoring a Matrix bus which i setup to operate as a main bus. All other buses have the ability to output to main, but not a Matrix.
    2. Need a way to power off the wing without having to reach behind the console every time. I built it into a desk and its a difficult reach.

    This thing is absolutely amazing...I hope you will support Samplitude.
    In my dreams there will be a Midas Wing with 96kHz , the Midas faders and a truly daylight viewable screen. The fact that the screen now lifts out from the Behringer gives me hope that enough heat sink can be applied to be viewable in even direct sunlight....The price would be almost irrelevant. All the best, and "smile with your eyes"!

    In the future you need a dedicated pan control for each channel. This is very important for both live mixing and studio. Panning now takes two steps instead of one which is not good. Panning is too much of a basic function to be hidden away behind another layer. It shares the same importance as the fader volume control. They should both be easily accessible.

  • @benirodriguez9516

    Using it to control a daw, and thus record instruments via its pre's... would the DSP effects be pre- or -post? Meaning, that when you record something with, say compression... is this compression baked in on the recorded track, or is it on a layer of its own allowing further edit, and or change with another compressor we might prefer from the computer? (not sure I put it correctly as English isn't my first, nor second language, but I hope is understandable what I mean).. thanks in advance.

    Requests:
    1.) Nuendo & Cubase Pro separate walkthroughs with the Wing 32 (I have to hop between 2 locations: 1 for audio for voice-overs + music & 1 for Video focused audio and scoring.)
    2.) When will the Wing Rack be available for us? I am both frustrated with having to reaquaint myself to the different boards at the locations AND have NO intention of lugging around the entirety of an entire board, when I can make due with some Behringer X-touches & throughput from an X32 Rackmount "STYLED" version of the Wing.... all which can be stored in my current mobile rack solutions.

    Hi Ben and Behringer.
    How much control of FL Studio is possible in the current DAW mode?
    If I am not mistaken, it uses the MCU protocol.
    I assume any DAW that recognizes and utilizes MCU can be controlled. Is this correct?
    What about Magix Samplitude? Will there be a preset for it soon?
    These are my 2 main DAWs and if so I am ALL IN and give great appreciation for this!
    I noticed the Pro Tools icon wiggling in the bottom right corner? Can PT be controlled using the HUI protocol?
    Will we see any videos of some of these DAWs in action being controlled by the Wing?
    It would be nice to see how well it functions as a near Universal control surface. Things like automation writing with touch and latch modes. Is this possible? Are the faders touch sensitive?

      @@teknomaatix7654 I was having to downgrade from a big old analogue console due to space. I looked at the WING and the Midas M32. I think both look like superb pieces of gear, but in the end I felt Softube Console 1 and Fader were a better fit for a studio environment, paired with a Focusrite Clarett 8 Pre and Octopre and an Audient Nero for monitor switching/headphone mixes. I don't need the preamps or onboard effects of the Wing/M32 as I already have good external pres plus the Clarett pres, and I will be working in a DAW with more plugins than I will ever need, so when I examined what I actually wanted it was a control surface with motorised faders, and a whole load of I/O. Console 1 lets me keep the 'analogue feel' of my old workflow but move towards working more 'in the box'. I've kept my old desks into storage though, hopefully one day I will have space for them again!
      I think if I was doing live sound or putting an audio system in a venue or church the Wing and M32 would be the place I'd look first, but for my studio use I'd be paying for a ton of features/functionality I already have elsewhere. The other hang-up with the Wing as I mentioned above is I would be gutted if I bought a Wing, then a Midas version came out that was nicer.
      What is your setup, and what are your options?

    • @teknomaatix7654
      @teknomaatix7654 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fizmo100 I just ordered the Focusrite Clarett from Guitar Center. I haven't even had a chance to experience it before the purchase. I did experience the Scarlett. I was told the Clarett is much better with better pres which was confirmed from a bit of research. I hope I made the right choice. I haven't had a recording studio in the last couple of years. I got rid of a Korg Triton, Behringer Eurodesk and some other "stuff" back then. I have been out of the loop for a few years but I am getting back into the swing of things now that I have the freedom to do so and a bit of cash and the space to put it all together. Working in the box has been killing me softly and now that I am getting serious I gotta get right. I lose inspiration with too much ITB. Thats why I was scoping out the Wing and other gear. Its a mess looking for the "right" controller that will give me 24 faders and pots, scribble strips, meters, etc. I think I am going to go with the Mackie MCU or the Behringer X-Touch. Add two 8 channel extenders to either, do some modding and start like that. Looking into some mics like Warbler, Pearlman TM-2 and a few others. I feel like I am being awaken from the dead coming back to my passion! I use FL Studio and Logic for music compositions and PT 10 and Samplitude for tracking, mixing. SO I need a controller that can handle all of them. The WING seemed promising but for many reasons, some that you've mentioned, not quite in the end.

    Orginaly purchased for the forsean posibilities, exstreamly anoyed by the introduction of the WING. I wanted to to trash the product, yet being one of the first in line the US in line to purchase the #WING a beautifuli crafted tool; I believed this product was designed to only get better, especially for BEHRINGERS loyal customers. Thank you for the update Aka ~ Blaqwater Andre M Brown

    I have been trying to decide which integrated mixer/audio interface/Daw controller to buy (All in One), AH QU32, QSC Touchmix 30 Pro, Presonus and then we have the X32 and Wing. I would really like to know if the Behringer DAW will have the same default effects built in as their mixers do similar to Presonus. Will there ONLY be a free version, one for the X32 and a different one for the Wing? If the DAW does not have the same effects as the mixer or there not to the same quality then WHAT IS THE POINT? Clearly with the Wing, Behringer mean business in big way, its their first real big boys toy that takes on all on EQUAL terms.
    I would like to know more before I decide, if you record wet can you then control/change manipulate any used effects/plug ins using the DAW or will you have to route from the DAW back through the Wing to edit the effects/plug ins used and then back out again to the DAW? Clearly with USB4 coming out soon that should open up the bandwidth considerably between mixer and computer, WHAT ARE Behringers plans for USB4 implementation if any especially for the Wing?
    Will the DAW support surround sound? as in 7.1? Something Studio One does NOT do. IT would be great if the screen was detachable so you can wonder round with it and know its easier to replace when the thing dies on you rather than a nasty expensive repair bill some time in the future. Also potentially offer an option to upgrade it to something BIGGER !!

    I would dearly love to know if there are plans to produce a rackmount version of the Wing at some point in the future?

    • @notdaones
      @notdaones 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol why ?

    • @LeeMatches
      @LeeMatches 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@notdaones Well the rackmount version of the X32 is incredibly popular. With all the features of the full X32 but packed into a form factor that makes it more portable it’s a very attractive proposition for a small gigging/function band that do their own sound. For me the feature in the wing that makes it more attractive than the X32 isn’t just the extra channel count, it’s the underlying architecture. Pack that into a rackmount form and bands like mine will be forming an orderly queue to buy one.

    A Magix Samplitude Preset is greatly needed!
    Does anyone know if the scribble strips on the Wing can be set to recognize and display the colors of the tracks in your session when in DAW mode? For example Track 1: Red, Track 2: Blue, Track 3: Green, etc. Either automatic or manual configuration of this would be beautiful!

    • @QuantumComposer
      @QuantumComposer ปีที่แล้ว

      AFAIK track colors are not supported in MCU/HUI protocols. Since DAW mode relies on these protocols it is not possible.

    Hi Behringer, the big thing missing for me is the ability to apply all the FX and processing from the wing console inside my daw like alot of the audio interfaces already do. Many folks don't want to have to route to console then back to daw to get the benefits of the Console FX. I would like a workflow that is simple and straightforward. What i would like to see from behringer is not only the ability to control the daw session but also to use the full audio processing FX, Summing, etc of the console from inside the DAW. This would be a huge game changer in the industry. Daw workflow is fast, efficient, easy to visualize for many types of projects. This is where people want to work especially for complex projects with lots of tracks so routing back to the console to gain benefits of the onboard fx is a no for me.Are you guys working on this already?
