  • Installed the HD Gloss Black Passenger Footboard Support Kit. The Road Glide ST does not come with rear foot pegs or boards, and of course that means no mounts either, just the mounting holes, so you will need this kit if you wish to run rear passenger boards on your ride.

My service manual states that torque for the bottom bolt
The top bolt is supposed to be far more tight, actually states 48-57nm of torque or roughly 40 lbs which i think is far too tight
About to install them myself and im worried that will just snap the bolt.. we will see😅

Thanks for the comments. I would go off of the values listed in the provided documentation of the kit you purchased. Those should be rated to the hardware provided. Don’t forget the loc-tite.

Have you had issues with the retention pins walking themselves out of the bracket once the floorboard was installed? I've lost two of the Thrashin' Supply floorboards now due to this issue, even after I started checking their position before and after every ride.

Thanks for the comments! Great question! I have these on both my RGST (now sold) and my Low Rider ST and have not had any issue with them backing out. In my videos for both, I discuss using loctite on the retention bolts, which has worked great for me so far. Luckily, I have not had either back out on any of my rides.
If you did not apply loctite to the retention pin bolts, give that a try and see if it helps minimize or even stop any vibration movement.
      Ride Safe!

My ST didn’t come with two bolt holes open only one. How did you get the second hole open

Hey Donny, thanks for the question. On my RGST and the LRST, the rear peg mount and front board mount holes have black plastic plugs in them. In my videos I show them and how to back them out so you can expose the threads for the additions.
Hope that helps and ride safe.

My foot rest will not tighten and I have no idea why they won’t.

Not quite sure what you mean but be sure you have the correct hardware in the correct places.

@@justkillnbugz I was using the wrong bolts like an idiot. Fixed it though thank you.
