  • A strange grave near Old Street. You'll find it at the western end of Bunhill Fields, a short walk from the tube station.

Relict is an archaic word for widow.

Brilliant video. Enjoy these less well known places to visit.
Planning our next london trip for end july.
Might call in here to see this.
When we visit london, we dont do tourist stuff.
Last time we hunted out the house off Strand ( i think)
that looks similar to 10 Downing Street.

Love your videos... I went to school there many years ago.. st. Joseph’s Bunhill row... the school was very old had a playground on the roof... was later closed and turned into offices, the church is still there... I think...

Leaky Lady? I think not. If she was actually leaking the fluid out of her body, it wouldn't have been such a problem. In fact, she was retaining fluid (in the worst possible way) and needed to have it drained off. Sadly, medical science was not advanced enough at the time to have been able to determine the precise cause of the fluid and correct it. For the time, having fluid drained out of lungs would have been a rather advanced medical treatment, though. Somewhat risky, too.

So 3.6 gallons per month. Divide that by approximately 31 days and you get a tenth of a gallon per day. Or 1.3 or so oz.

I think it more likely the 'water' came from her abdomen rather than her lungs. She even has her own page on Wiki: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_Gregory_Page,_1st_Baronet

In case anybody else is watching in the 21st Century, 240 gallons is 908 litres.

You don't actually say why she had liquid drained for her lungs

She had pulmonary edema or pleural effusion, both medical conditions where fluids accumulate in the lungs. The doctors attempted to treat it by draining the fluids, which would only be a temporary cure since the underlying cause was not treated.
