Thanks a lot. Your video helped a lot. The pictures on the screen in the calibrating software isn't anything worth. Now my Crane 2 doesn't drift anymore when i set it down. It's a great video.

I'm having problems, I need to calibrate the IMU every time I turn on the Crane. I need to do this process all the time, before it wasn't like that. I just had to turn it on and start using it. Help me! CRANE PLUS

Please my crane m2 shows an X when I turn it on for few seconds and then it goes on the sleep mode or it shows an X I tried to update it but the tool box couldn't find it and same for calibration ...I don't know what to do . Is it the cable ? Cz I used the one of my phone type C .please tell me what should I do

What is the reason for calibrating the crane? I'm not sure entirely. Great video & thanks for all these helpful vids.
Thanks. Even if you balance the crane well, it can still be a bit off when you use it. (skewed horizon for example) It's to do with the internal gyroscope and calibrating should help.
@@michalspisiak Thank you, just got completed calibrating my crane plus I noticed that while am in some modes its not straight on X axis and always tilts so the gridline on the camera and the picture being recorded is not matching so I knew something was not right, thankfully I remembered somewhere people saying they should calibrate before use but never did, but after watching ur vid and calibrating it successfully,the crane is a lot more smoother, responsive and always straight thanks for the great tutorial.
Hello there, I bought a used gimbal, the model is crane 2, Mac or PC computer drivers are installed, but the Calibration software only see the com3 port and won't show the product, so I'm not able to calibrate or update the firmware, any leads on this matter, thank you.

@@marcosmontesdeoca2423 Yes it was resolved with an old version of the calibration software for Mac, check on Facebook for the Zhiyun page, many people are asking for the same problem and they suggested to use an older version. On a site note, the problem that I had was because one of the axis was a little off and I needed to calibrate that axis, the calibration tool let me calibrated the axis so now is all good.
@@mainmixnight Thanks for your answer! I ended up downloading the app on my phone (couldn't make the software work on my pc) and got to do the six step calibration but I still have mi horizon sloped to the left, I also tried calibrating the roll axis engine but nothing seems to work... any ideas?
@@marcosmontesdeoca2423 I have the Mac/Apple computer version, the PC version didn't work for me, on the calibration tool software there is an option to calibrate the axis, it require a USB to mini USB or micro USB cable, depending on the model of the Zhiyun gimbal, once the software can detect the gimbal you can adjust the axis, the camera needs to be mounted on the gimbal and balanced, put the gimbal with the camera on it on a flat and leveled surface and try to adjust the axis.
I have followed your steps (though I am on a Mac) but the Gimbal Tools screen with the calibration is different, a white background. It is version 1.52 Any suggestions?

How I fix it
One question, I saw on the few videos that guys have some tape or something on the bottom motor.. You have grey tape on the crane. Why? Thanks for the video - it's great!
Thanks man. Well I found that the tape adds just enough weight to counterbalance the... Just kidding, it's there to stop the other arm scratching the top of the motor when it's unbalanced. That's all, I use some sticky foam now.
hey, im having problems on finding the right position in step 2, complete the calibration. anyone has the same issue?
I bought it new and just unboxed and balanced it. How will I know when it needs calibrating?
You'll know it when the crane is off balance, no matter how well you balance it.
I'm doing exactly what you say. But i'm having a problem at the 01:40 of this video. When i click "open" button nothing happens. Neighter product turns Crane nor calibration button turns blue. Nothing :(

What do I do (or what could be the issue) if I cannot get passed position 2 in the process? I have tried dozens and dozens of times. I am POSITIVE that I have it positioned correctly (exactly like it is in this video and several others I've checked) but the software doesn't seem to recognize it's in the proper position :-/
I'd try restarting the computer, reinstalling the soft and try again. If that won't do it, the issue gotta be with the gimbal itself.
the website it doesnt have the software option for this crane v2 version :/

What is purpose of silver adhesive tape at pan motor ?
The only reason is to stop the other arm scratching the top of the motor. Often happened when the crane is unbalanced. I've got some sticky foam there now

I have done all the necessary steps and for some reason, when I plug my Crane Plus into my USB port, the gimbal tool program will not automatically add the gimbal to the selection window to allow for calibration or firmware upgrade. Can you please help?
It like the app is not recognizing that I am hooked up to the gimbal with the USB cord.... I have tried unplugging it and plugging back in, as well as trying to restart the whole process with the gimbal in standby mode. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated... Thanks!
Happened to me earlier. But then I reinstalled the downloaded USB driver while having the cable connected to the crane and computer. It worked for me, maybe you could give it a try.
