Spencer we noticed in one of your episodes that you were bothered with snakes around your property. Have you ever tried putting sulphur down it works and will get rid of your snake problem. Love the show!!!
I’d consider grounding the metal poles (copper wire from pole to copper stake driven into the ground) and/or adding surge arrester gear to fully protect your downstream power production components and electrical system in case there’s a direct or nearby lightning strike. Lots of tall trees nearby make for good targets for lightning ⚡️ . Looking great, and congratulations!! Best, Brian

Much love from across the pond 😊
Spencer you have done an excellent job on building your house and various projects, you should feel very proud of yourself. You have really educated yourself from being a waiter in Florida, to becoming a builder, God Bless You and your precious family!
Spencer , I want to say the Solar Jacks are a smart Idea. If you came up with them you should pattern them. I have been watching since almost from the beginning, it was where y'all were setting up the foundation piers. I have enjoyed watching you build and the growth of your beautiful. You both are such loving caring people . Look forward to the future. ENJOY!!!!
The solar structure looks beautiful on the landscape with the curved ceiling of the house! Well done. All the 'figuring it out' will result in something effective, plus more original and graceful than a pre fab!
Take it from a photographer in Wisconsin winters, when going from temperature and humidity changes, leave the camera covered in a storage bag to let condensation form on the bag not the camera until it bcomes acclimated. That includes going indoors as well. BTW Kenz, your videography and visual story telling is excellent. Well done!
I'm so proud of you guys! You are literally building a house with your bare hands while growing a family! Kenz I I hope you are feeling well and not pushing too hard. Spencer give yourself some leeway you have come a looooong way and you both are doing amazing!
So inspiring! Having done my share of projects I’m always looking for new ways and techniques. As I’ve watched you progress I’m impressed by your solutions and perseverance. If I may make a suggestion - having lived in Texas every winter for the last thirteen years, I KNOW FOR A FACT the weather can be VERY damaging! The worst for your current project would be the major thunderstorms which pass through, with the VERY DAMAGING HAIL! SO, my suggestion would be to have a way to very quickly and easily cover those very expensive and work intensive (to repair/replace) solar panels. Some type of heavy duty tarp system would be my suggestion. Anchored on one end (rolled up?) with an air gap off the panels when deployed (of course wind would have to be considered here also!) so as to keep larger hail from contacting the panels. I’m sure you can figure out the details, just need to protect those panels! Keep doing what you do and enjoy those little ones every moment - they will be grown before you know it! Thanks for sharing, best of everything!
Spencer, you have the correct idea, we have all our solar panels on the car ports :) I'm soo glad you are putting g the extra support on for the solar panels. I was also wondering about a huge storm ripping the solar panels off the structure. You yeo look amazing h. It's really coming together. We'll Done!

I am 65 and living in "elderly" housing due to being disabled now. I hate my "Confined," life and would give anything for a "tiny house," as long as it was my own, where I Could have my dogs, a nice window, and the freedom not to be watched and gossiped about...I'd call heaven. These would be great for the eldery, who like me, outgrew highschool antics at 17. Thanks for the dream

Hoping you can add a ground wire to the entire array in the event of a lightning strike. May need to drive a copper post into the ground and connect it, probably be good if the ground wire termination to actual earth ground were away from the array and outside the fence several yards out.
Y'all are amazing! Look at all you have accomplished since moving! You lived in that tiny trailer and now have 2 Kidlets and a house of your dreams! I'd hire Spencer for anything I needed built! 🌸✌️💜
Yay, Kenz, on top of all your extensive new mom duties, you had time to remember the pumphouse and water system needs insulated and heated. Good for Spencer for upgrading the solar panels( time to add on to the battery station to store all the new efficiency, too) while the weather is conducive to working outside. Once you get the infrastructure upgraded, you'll be snug as a bug in a rug working inside finishing the interior of your home this winter!

The love you two share for one another and all of your hopes , dreams and plans for ĺiving life your way, has shown thru to us every day and in every way. Thanks for taking us along on your journey ! I know I don't personally know you, but , I love you kiddos and your beautiful children and wish you all the very best lif e has to offer! Keep on smiling!! Peace to all..
💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜
I love Beau’s conversations. I could just listen to her all the time.
Ah bless his heart. Rubber washer feed cord and tie off with knots. That's what we did. Washer wedged in hole cord came through.
Problem solving is painful trying to figure out if we are doing things right.
It's worth it. Besides you can always mount a hook/chain in cement below so panels don't fly up during spring and summer..
Thanks for sharing and know we are all cheering for you.
I love Beau, she’s a trooper...talking, climbing 🧗♂️ .
Need to see more than the top of her head!!!
I've been watching this channel for a long time. This episode is the most perfect . It has the mother nature shots of Texas ; It has the snippets of your family relationships with Kenz and Beau which are so endearing; It has highlights of Spencer with his DYI expertise; It has the music at the end which gets me every single time. Every. Single. Time.
Y'all are so adorable!! Your hubs works so hard for his family!! ❤👍
And wife is raising her babies so previously! I just want to say that anything worth having doesn't come easy. Know/stand on the fact that you both are blessed by God. He is VERY proud of you both!!! I know it can be stressful & exhausting! But keep it up. You're building your future. You have God's protection. He is there with you every step of the way. Just wanted you to know that. 😉❤🤗
Ps: pls be sure to thank him for even the little things.
I'm not some "crazy lady". Lol! I'm just a normal person living a normal life in NC & know his voice & hear him. 😁😉👍❤
8:39.... McKenzie is such great Editor, great Handywoman, great Wife, and great Super Mommy🙏🙏❤️❤️✔️✔️
I know this has been said by so many and so often but it's because it's so true....I am constantly amazed by your work ethic and perseverance Spencer, it's ridiculous how proud I've come to feel for two people on the other side of the world that I've never even met! Having also had a day of the stupid little pickles in life giving all the grief, all I can say is just keep swimming, because you've earned every single one of the proud 'I did That' moments too. Much love from across the pond 😊
Spencer you have done an excellent job on building your house and various projects, you should feel very proud of yourself. You have really educated yourself from being a waiter in Florida, to becoming a builder, God Bless You and your precious family!
I love the way Beau interacts with her Dad, sóooooo cute
Well done!
The patience of that man! Maybe he was a wee bit frustrated this time? Still, pretty close to a saint.
I think she's enough to get on his nerves 😬
Just proves he's human after all
I'm so proud of you guys!
He used the word "boop". If anyone ever doubted he was a dad......welocme to the club :-) Thanks for sharing the journey - love the vids.
Spencer, you have the correct idea, we have all our solar panels on the car ports :)
I'm soo glad you are putting g the extra support on for the solar panels. I was also wondering about a huge storm ripping the solar panels off the structure.
You yeo look amazing h. It's really coming together. We'll Done!
When you finally get to get to converting the barn into a shop you can add extra solar panels to the roof for more electrical power.
You two are so adorable and hilarious, such a welcome break from the everyday stuff. Thank you 🙏 Keep the videos coming, Spencer your work is fantastic. Love and prayers to your beautiful family ❤️🙏❤️
Always going with your first choice. Your doing excellent job Spencer. And you have an awesome wife and two excellent babies behind you. Always keep pushing forwards. And GOD BLESS🙏🙏🙏 LOVE YOU HOME & FAMILY❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey guys, another great video done. My wife and I love seeing your progress building your home. How about a little more about your new son. We would love to see Beau holding him. Thanks for allowing us to know your family. May God Bless you...
65 isn't elderly! As Walt Disney was quoted saying, "growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional!" Always dream
They say timing is everything. Kenz your holding the little one, thunder in background, you look away slowly turn and say “ you better hurry” very funny……great timing lol 😂
Looks like someone got some drone skills, love the always improving editing and music, its been so fun to watch you guys build your dream, very inspiring, keep it up
Much respect to you both your work ethic is such a credit to you . Stay safe Beau is such a good helper 🥰💖💖❤️❤️👍
It is so beautiful that while building your home, you guys also built a family! Wonderful blessings the kiddos!!!
“I could wait for her, but I’m impatient.” Never truer words spoken.
You guys are amazing. Sending blessings to your family🙏🏾
I burst out laughing when the replaced string broke 😂😂 oh man I know how frustrating that's gotta be
What a dream homestead, I'm super jealous!
What a smart, handy young man Spencer is. Love💚the channel guys. Your homestead looks amazing. Born & raised in the far NW Suburbs of Chicago and I love the cows🐄🐮, donkeys, dogs, your pond, etc.. I, too, found bliss in Texas. Shoutout from rural Rosenberg. Keep on sharing with us. May G-d Bless You & Keep You Young Friends💛
Hoping you can add a ground wire to the entire array in the event of a lightning strike. May need to drive a copper post into the ground and connect it, probably be good if the ground wire termination to actual earth ground were away from the array and outside the fence several yards out.
Definitely need a ground for the array
That is a GREAT IDEA, Jerry! I TOTALLY AGREE! It's great that Spencer has an open mind to accept ideas, without criticism.
Next vid: We have to move the house as the solar array and all the protections are taking up so much space 😁
Y'all are amazing! Look at all you have accomplished since moving! You lived in that tiny trailer and now have 2 Kidlets and a house of your dreams! I'd hire Spencer for anything I needed built! 🌸✌️💜
Spencer love your and your wife's sense of humor.
Everybody forward to your videos and amazes me the work that you were doing I just love your little family and I love watching your videos
Amazing, those solar panels when they are all up and running are going to be so amazing, and the set up that Spencer created is just as amazing. I love seeing all that you have accomplished it just makes me so happy. Thanks for sharing and take care and stay safe, sending love and hugs, bye for now.
Keep up the positive thoughts. You have come so far. You’re almost done with this and can move on to something less mind boggling. Love to you all👍🏻👍🏻❤️
I just love watching you guys. Spencer is definitely a woman’s man. He struggles until he gets everything just right. Hope all goes well when he hooks everything up. Love you guys.
Hi ! From Nova Scotia 🇨🇦 ! Our University Sainte Anne in Claire is doing exactly like you with the solar panels ! Only they are using pre-made of course not from scratch like yours lol my first thought was Spencer has you outdone ! Love watching your beautiful family .
I love you guys! You are the best of humanity! Everything you do feels so relatable.
Definitely take a moment and check the wind history in your area. Never hurts to be prepared.
That solar system is going to be amazing. My offer still stands, to calculate the theoretical production in that area with those specific panels and invert. Especially now that you would like to optimise the angles in specific season. Would be a nice little project to optimise :)
Love your show, adore your bloopers!! You guys are doing such a great job, I’m so very impressed!!!
My goodness, all the work you have done and all the work you still have . Spencer you are the Texas Champion!!!, You make the labors of Hercules everyday 👏👍💪🇫🇷
I'm sure glad you guys found one another. You're great adventurous people and provide us with interesting entertainment. Your both great parents too.
