I have no idea why this uploaded upside down. Perfect occasion to learn to do a handstand!
Also I’ve no clue why it turned upside down as it looks normal in my phone library and looked normal while uploading, I had 60+ comments when I noticed so I didn’t wanna take it down and reupload. I started watching you when u I was about 13 I’m now 18. you’re content was really reassuring to how I was feeling at the time as I I’d only was just discovering that I was trans, I’m now out and that element of my life is getting better. I’m glad you made this video as it seems like your marking the end of an era or something along those lines I’m glad you’ve changed (I’d be concerned if u hadn’t given you’re now an adult) and I hope u eventually are able to feel motivated and live you’re life to the fullest.

Hey! I used to love your videos so much, it's been forever since I've actually just sat down and watched TH-cam, but you had such an impact on me when I was younger (/pos). I first found you back when I was like 12 and was questioning my gender, and you were one of the creators who really helped me through that. I just want to say that you were such a positive influence on me when I was younger (I'm 17 now btw), and just keep being you and doing what makes you happy :)

Hi Kovu! Whenever I get an idea but just want to sleep instead I write it down witch a check box next to it. I actually have a whole notebook for that purpose. It helps me get the idea out of the back of my mind, knowing I wont forget it and that I will come back to it when Im nlt tired (no matter how long that takes)
Another thing Ive learned is that giving up and taking a break are two different things (no matter how long that breaks is). Giving up is having the mind state that "I will never do this again" and taking a break means "I want to keep at this but there are other things ( like rest, for example) that I need right now.

Also I think trans people just like to know people are ok and see how their lives might progress if they transition. We still don’t have many people who stay in touch and we see around and can watch age and progress through life in a positive way where they survive and don’t just end up as a plot like for a Bury Your Gays style movie.
yes, I agree! it's comforting to watch creators in their transition when you're younger, but when you're getting older, it's nice to see them progress and grow as well.
There's this one tiktok that stays in my head a lot. It's just a guy pointing up at the comment he's reacting to, which, as far as I can remember, reads "i've never seen a trans person with gray hair, wow we get to live that long" and I think it's a similar sentiment to what you've expressed here.
I started watching you when I was 12. I'm 16 now. You helped me realise I was trans and you had so many useful tips in your videos and most importantly you made me feel like I wasn't alone. And that I was listened to.
I kinda stopped watching you when you became inconsistent with your uploads, because around that time I was actually back in the closet because my parents were being transphobic.
I just started a quarantine bc my partner gave me covid and honestly this video couldn't have been better timing.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next.

Hi, Kovu. It’s good to see you again, despite you being on he ISS. ;) I just downloaded the video and rotated it while watching it in VLC. You’re looking good. As to what to do with your hair... I wish my hair looked as nice as yours! You really don’t have to do anything about it.
On the tarot reading, the way I understand the magician's card is a little bit different. The magician does have all the tools before him, all the resources, but that can be precisely the one thing that is so overwhelming that you can't get into action or make a certain decision to chose a path in particular : too many options available at the same time. To me it's definitely about having the resources to do what you want to do, but not especially about being able to "get moving" and do it (because what is "it" exaclty ?).

It's so good to see you again. I remember you used to be one of my favorite youtubers 5 years ago. It's wild that it's been that long. Just hearing you talk about anything calmed me down, and even know when you're talking about the thing about always feeling tired and wanting to sleep, I can relate to it so much and it's just nice to hear others feeling the same way. Hearing your experiences and advice was always so helpful.

Dude it's Okey that you are growing up we all change. I've completely changed from high school which is when I first started watching you and now I'm 22 and just emerging from an existential life crisis/spiritual crisis/family crisis so things are good we all all fine. If you don't want to make videos you don't have too its just nice to have you around you know 😊
What you said about meds is really interesting because I'm going through something similar. Last year I started my psychology degree and began to feel really depressed half way through it. Having a routine of studying and doing my chores everyday was the only thing keeping me functional. But it came to I point where, even though I was being productive, I felt like I couldn't do it anymore without meds, so I started taking them. I wasn't expecting that, while depression wasn't overwhelming anymore, I had lost my drive to study. A month feeling really lost had to past before I've started to get some motivation back.
I think what happened here is that my motivation for studying had shifted from having good grades in my degree to staying alive, and once that necessity wasn't there anymore, I had nothing else that kept me moving.
Finding motivation while also being emotionally stable is being really difficult, but I think I'm slowly getting there.
I can definitely relate to be tired all the time like it’s just an exhausting feeling

I actually really love to see how you changed/ are changing. I can really relate to the 'growing up together' thing since I'm the same age as you and growing up can be so weird and sometimes I feel really stuck in the past and how I presented back then and it's just nice to see you also growing up and walking your own path. So like I would really enjoy any content to kinda the stuff you experienced and got interested in since kinda leaving TH-cam. But I mean, I follow you on your other social media, so even tho TH-cam is my preferred kind of medium, cause it feels the most personal to me, I still get that nice little view on your actually really inspiring life.

first of all, yeah, hi! i think i have a hard time articulating my thoughts in response to vids, but really, is nice to see you and hear your thoughts again. your content has always, er, struck a chord with me- i relate to a lot. as always, don’t feel obligated to keep making vids if it you don’t want to, if it’s something you’d rather leave in the past,,, but how you were talking about your past self almost not being you? i feel that. and i’d love to hear more about your spiritual journey if it’s something you wanna talk about- i believe something you said about tarot once was really interesting to me. the way you use them as a kind of lens of analysis for your situation, a tool to look at yourself? well, a few years ago i went from being born-and-raised jewish to a pretty strong atheist, and with that came some anti-religiosity. but i think that’s waned somewhat, and i’ve dabbled in magick and the like, and i think seeing how you use tarot, and respect the dead in your vulture culture, all of that spoke to me, and,,, well yeah. i really appreciate how you see the world and it’s been quite helpful to me. thank you

I can absolutely relate to feeling like a participant of your own life, used to feel like in high school.. Sometimes I still feel like that. Glad to see that you’re doing good, have a good one :)
Not saying this applies to you or anyone else but me, just sharing a personnal experience because what you said made me think of it, about meds and having trouble finding some motivation in life.
I just had a depressive episode this summer, which I don't think is the first I ever had but it was the first time it got so bad that I asked for medication (I've always feared the whole chemicals doing stuff to your brain thing, even though I know it's meant to be for the better). I honestly think it was a good decision because I needed it so badly I couldn't have made it without it, so it definitely had its major positive side.
That being said, I stopped around a month ago, not really because I suddenly felt good, maybe just a bit better or at least I wasn't afraid of my own self and what I might do anymore. First of all I was very lucky because I didn't have many side effects in the process, but then when a few days passed I started to actually feel my own emotions again, like not the numb kind of emotions not so so happy not so so sad either ones I had for the past few months, my own actual true emotions. That made me realise how disconnected from myself those meds were making me feel this whole time and of course it was very useful for a while but I have gotten back so much drive, and will, and joy, and just my sense of self since I was able to stop to be honest.
So this really isn't to say that anyone should stop their medication AT ALL, especially since people's exprience with it may be extremely different, I just thought it was intresting because I relate to what you said and my antidepressents were part of the reason for the issue in my case. Also to me knowing the reason of things happening and being able to tell myself "oh it's okay, it's just because of that thing going on in my brain" is pretty reassuring.
Anyways, thanks for the video, I hope things will only get better for you
Nice to hear from you Kovu! I relate to what you were saying about feeling like you're unable to take control of your life/make decisions for yourself. But I think you could not feel ready not necessarily because you're "lazy," but because 1. you are so afraid of making a mistake that you're unable to make any sort of move, or 2. because you feel that other forces deciding your life are okay but if you are the one that decides and it turns out poorly, then that's your fault and you don't want to blame yourself.
Those are the factors in my case, and I have yet to "act" in my own life as well. For example, I never finished college, and I thought that in order to go back, I would have to pick the "perfect" thing to study so that I definitely would get a job in that field. But in real life (in America anyway), people take jobs all the time that have nothing to do with what they studied. So by putting too much emphasis on what subject I might study, I'm being a perfectionist about it to the point that I don't even try to go back to school in case I change my mind and it won't be perfect. (Though that's also wrapped up in how expensive college in America is, haha.)
The point is I used to think there would be certain times throughout my life that I would have to make some huge decision and that if I made the "wrong" choice, everything would suck from then on. But for the most part, that's not true. Students switch what subjects to study all the time, adults get a different job or even change jobs to a completely different field a lot, relationships change, etc. Everything can and will change with or without you.
So if you make a decision and find out later it's not working, it's not necessarily because you made the wrong choice, or you were ill-informed. For whatever reason, the choice you made is just no longer working for the current version of you, and it's time to switch it up again. For me, that makes the thought of making decisions easier, to know that I can change again, even if it takes some time before I feel I'm going in the "right direction."

I was 15-16 when I first started watching you and I’m a completely different person now so I understand you about old videos and changing. I also felt like adding that I kinda learnt English by watching your videos, I wasn’t very good at it at first but as time passed I was able to understand you very well. I may even have a slight britishy accent because of it lol (also watching lots of british youtubers). kovu, you helped me realize i was trans and helped get me through that whole journey when i was 14. you gave me hope when my dad disowned me for being trans, you gave me guidance (you almost fulfilled an online older brother role for me). I’m almost 17 and been on T for about 7 months, planning to get top surgery soon, and i can’t help but give you credit for getting me this far. i hope you take care of yourself and keep in mind the wonderful impact you’ve had on so many lives! i’m sure life will compensate you greatly for your advocacy

As a very sheltered kid, your videos were the first interaction I ever had with the trans community, like 4+ years ago! At the time I thought that wasn't me at all, but now here I am as an out enby in college :) it's nice to see creators that I looked up to years ago going through the same kinds of things as me, just a few years ahead of me. I don't know why I felt this weird comfortable feeling watching you. I know it was hard for you to express these feelings but you did pretty well. Maybe it was comforting because I was listening someone talking about the similar (mostly) feelings that I am going through that I can't express or dare to express to anyone, even to myself. Not sure why, it's not like people care that much. The world, it's people, stuffs not going to stop happening because I stopped. Maybe deep inside I wish my past excitement and view of life never changed and I could go on believing some grandiose belief which I now find meaningless. Maybe life would be easier that way and I could go on with the flow, now I'm just stuck. Again thanks for uploading, it was brave. I really appreciate it.

Hi Kovu! I just wanted to say that you were my very first of many many LGBTQIA+ related youtubers that I've ever watched. Mainly because of the culture and the family that I grew up in, I had no knowledge of the community at all. I remember watching your video and realising for the first time that people can actually be trans and gay at the same time!
