@@Composery The pleasure is all mine. It's hard to imagine what do you know from the classics :D So I recommend you Windir - 1184, especially Journey to the End, it also has some clean vocals, this is as I call it, Happy Black Metal.
As mentioned, this is one of the greatest bm albums of all time. Atmospheric, melancholic, and intense with some of the most amazing and killer riffs ever. Considering it was released in ‘95 (if I remember correctly) it was way ahead of its time. Hails and cheers from the States!
I never got into this album even though I like pagan a lot. Been like idk almost a decade or more since I heard this the first time and it just never stuck with me. Maybe I'll try again.
Although this oldschool black metal is not my taste (I prever blackened death metal and gothic metal but like 'doomy black metalhero' Bathory) you explained clearly the aspects, so cool! Go on with nice video's Greetz from the Netherlands.
I discovered this album a few months ago and bought the physical copy after a few complete listen throughs, pretty good stuff I've been told to check out the albums after this one as well but haven't gotten around to checking them out. Either way great album!
It's a bit airy for my tastes, but I'm more inclined toward the tribal, heavy, aggressive types of metal. This reminds me of Fate's Warning and Iron Maiden... more of a classical/metal kind of mix.
First of all, sick hair. Now that the simping is over with, I always thought this album was overrated, but still pretty damn sweet. I should give it another try. I prefer the wolf one from their black metal era. The folk one after this is mind bogglingly embarrassing. For me, it's all about "Perdition City", "Blood inside" (I have a tattoo of it) and "Shadows of the Sun" (I almost got an album mixed at the same studio, because it's the best sounding album I've ever heard). Garm is... Special. Anyway, I like the break down. Definitely like this style of video.
...this is such a perfect album. I'd love to be able to hear this for the first time again.
I'm very happy that I'm one of the 1,82 k subsribers. This is one of my favourite early albums
Thank you so much, the album was amazing!
