- As a fellow manga reader I was in shock the more I progressed through the 2nd season of this anime adaptation and today's video I'll be briefly explaining the reasons behind the miscontent of so many fans of this fantastic story titled Promised Neverland...

just finished the manga...
the anime really had a chance to stand in the top. the adaptation made me want to tear my hair apart
I didn't like that much the S1 because of some errors.
Example, they were too loud (they even made a commotion lol) when they argue and make plans, they live in a house made in woods, especially in the middle of the night, they even brought lamps outside that they forgot Krone is watching them, they are smart but not cautious, and not to mention Isabella lived in that house for many years as the only adult so for sure she knows very well what's going on.
Emma and Gilda are both dumb, they ask questions with obvious answers, like when Ray showed to emma the can of gas and explained he will set the house on fire and emma asked if Ray will use it to create the fire like "DUHHH???".
And the way Norman managed to climbed that wall is ridiculous if the rope is lower than the wall and it's attached from other side (tree), he literally defies the laws of physics, not to forget it was mentioned he have lack of physical abilities.
I just forced myself to finish S1, and I'm not even sure if I will watch S2 because I heard it was problematic. That's why to restore my interest I will just read the manga.

I'll read the manga eventually, but no way I'm paying a penny for it. I don't want my money to the let them think this is okay. Had they only done the first season and said "Hey, sorry, probably no more because the committee that hired doesn't see it as profitable to advertise a manga that's already over" they still wouldn't have gotten a lot of conversions from Anime to Manga, but they would have gotten some people who wanted to continue the story. But this was just insulting.
I'm tired of these committees seeing anime as only publicity for the manga. So many anime are powerhouses on their own, I wish these executives wouldn't at least be willing to occasionally take a risk. Japanese companies though are so incredibly conservative and risk averse though.

I would suggest to either read the mangas or rewatch season 1 and pretend that season 2 never happened because so far, the second season was a disappointment.

Well season 2 is good since this anime has no more budget to continue! Thats why they finished it up for the fans

Here’s something I noticed season 2 episode 4 Anna writes in her note book “January 22 2047” but in episode 5 she writes “January 24 2047”. In that episode a demon in the market says the kids have been gone for a year. Anna’s hair also grew a lot so that would make sense. But according to what she wrote it’s only been 2 days???

@@Aubreyonroblox essentially they skipped out on one of the most popular arcs and some of the best characters weren’t even introduced
I think they changed the season because they were contracted for only one more season and they wanted to provide some level of finality. But it was done very very poorly.
just let it hang. so many anime ended in cliffhanger. why the need to change.
Given the time frame of all of this I assumed it was because of Covid
Cause they dont have a budget to make another season that’s why they end it up as a season 2

I read this years ago. I knew the anime was out but I never had the time to watch it. SEASON 2 WTF HAPPENED? THEY DIDNT EVEN FIGHT THE ROYALS.

The first season was SO good. I'm glad it had a satisfying ending, because season 2 was awful.
It’s been at least a year since I watched the 2nd season and I knew it was EXTREMELY BAD but I didn’t know why other than they had a weirdly rushed ending…after watching the video,OH MY GOD ITS AWFUL

I read the manga and tbh didn’t like it very much. The first arc was absolutely amazing but the remaining of the story was pretty mid to me (Goldy Pond was good though). Now watching this video I’m kinda glad I didn’t watch the second season lol it managed to be miles worse than the manga

After season 1 i read the manga it is good until they meet norman again for some reason the story begin to be rushed to the point there's some plot holes, either way it is good manga and unique story, I just hope what they did in season 2, they just finish it until to Goldy pond arc or start of Goldy pond arc and wait for revenue
Finished the Manga over the past few days and yes this was an absolutely wonderful story. I’m glad I made the decision to do so and also got to experience season 1.
I hope the Amazon live action does a good job. They should I suppose? Idk. Hopefully.

The manga is awesome. I stopped watching the anime after I found out they skipped the Goldy Pond Arc. I think most viewers stopped after realizing there's no Yugo. So stupid these makers ....

Dude she still remembers them within her heart vaguely and reunites with them with tears and smiles. Kinda like your name ending. Trust me the whole manga after season 1 and the ending are top notch and badass and makes you feel satisfied and gives you a great time. The anime adaptation gives me cancer like Tokyo ghoul season 2 adaptation.

So there's no reward in return for the new forged promise at all which is too generous of that demon God. So let's say it ends that way and as for all the other great characters and arcs, lore you missed, read the manga. You'll understand if you do. And btw it's rude call others MONSTER without you not even reading the source material and understanding why it even happened and how actually emotional the scene was dear.

Hey check this video from timestamp 37:27. He gives a BETTER ending than the manga original one which you hate where she loses her memory but reunites still with her family happily (because it was part of the new promise she made with a God). I was just happy she got back with her family this guy adds up extra notch which I feel positive thinkers such as yourself a would like.

People should understand that episodes are expensive having to put everything from a manga into an anime that would be a lot of money and I don't think the writers or the creators didn't want to take that risk.
well they made season 1 a success, but making season 2 adaptation this bad is just sad...
So they make a shit adaption that nobody was happy with and did poorly? How the hell is that better? Would have been more acceptable if they just did not even try making one.

Everybody hates the final season of Promised Neverland, yet they love the final season of Attack on Titan? Granted, PN's ending should have been better, but at least Emma never betrayed her friends and became a MONSTER; oh, and most importantly, none of the good guys died!
But, nooo, we hate endings like that! We demand to have our protagonists become horrible ppl, we demand everything we knew up to that season be turned upside down, we demand to have characters we hoped would survive to be betrayed and killed in the most pointless way imaginable, we demand to shoe horn in new characters that make us root for the bad guys, because dammit, that's "the Otaku way"!

I would love to see this season with happy ending if it only would actually make sense and didnt gave us different pointless threads and characters every epesoide. I expexted something more entertaining like season 1 but im dissapointed :((

I also had mixed feelings with this moment cause it was necessary for greater good but XD ur right, they've done it just like that, except Connie scene wich represents that there are no good guys after all. I also feel some kind of betrayal from tpn season 2, cause it doesn't give us one strong plot and build up for whole arc like s1, but a lot of little ones which just ends in 2 episodes like they were trying to finish the story as fast as they can.

Look, I'm not saying tpn S2 was perfect, far from it, but it's better than the crap AoT became, and yet folks seem fine with it!?
So in response to the original comment I just started rambling about Attack On Titan, but looking over what I typed I realized I utterly failed to get my point across, so I deleted it. Long story short, no one in AoT's ending thus far has acted out of character except for Gabby, soldier face, and the Commandant, who have all spontaneously switched sides and/or blew themselves up for no reason; and despite its disappointments, the ending is thus far much better than that of The Promised Neverland season 2. I just don't have the writing skills to explain it eloquently, but I guess I can put back the rambling if you want to see it.
