In my childhood this movie was a hurricane with music and Tsunami with its epic story and a blend of Srk that you still miss, its a cult classic.

It was not a flop it was controversial for Indians it was too ahead of time but still it was blockbuster overseas and much hyped even in india.

I was watching this movie last night.. And it was so unexpected for a movie frm 90s to b so well directed, I mean clearly it was way ahead of its time, cz even now we don't get to see such direction and what a performance by both lead actors.. I was in awe the entire time

it was the movie which shaped youth of me and many of youngsters at that time saying,"haasil krna pyaar nhi hota....woh to bs ho jata hai,jarurat nhi ki wo haasil hi kiya jaye".
we still are the same youngsters who dont force but care more to the loved ones...with passion and still dont complain their absense....simply fulfilled the time we spent with love we had and that time will be our memory.

@@shruthis2524 it's a hindi movie. You people are biased towards a particular industry and it's pure narcissm. Bombay industry since the beginning is obviously the biggest in India, has billions of audiences in the world and has produced 1000s of beautiful movies.

The Bollywood industry has too much of prominence and even the arrogance of the stars is a testimony of their supremacy/ narcissistic attitude. South industry has always churned out the best movies, and the technicians are among the best. Sadly, it took a movie like Bahubali to make Bollywood realize the talent of the South. But I do not wish to stereotype all Bollywood stars, few of them who made it big on their own, like Shahrukh, and who have worked with South Indian directors definitely would know the difference.
@@jamesdean9181 and sorry I forgot to add, it's not a Hindi movie. Mani Ratnam made it simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi, as he did with a few of his other movies too. The tamil movie is called Uyire, please check it if you want to.

and for this exact reason, the pressure that star kids bear for being a star kid is immense, there is great expectations on them to match & walk in the footsteps of their parents for the rest of their lives, and this fear of delivering takes away every talent that Kid is born with.
