      Me too Ant, I love making molds but it’s very time consuming and takes great care, if it gose wrong and won’t release, haha it’s game over 🤪👍🏻

    Many years ago I worked for a bloke who bought a paint mixing plant when he had a Burntwood water filtration booth installed. It was the type where you mixed paint off the microfiche by weight. He mixed up a batch for a wing on a Rover which was a metallic green, the wing was a perfect match shade wise, but he was colour blind for green and the wing he painted turned out brown... 🤣

      Hahaha, nice one Sid, ya I remember them ol microfiche, I recon there easier than today’s systems
      I gota say, now I need glasses it’s a tad harder to do all this colour malarkey 🤣😜👍🏻

    You might get away with moulding them in carbon, 'For the Bold' got some quite tight corners on Ghost when he made his bodywork. If you wanted to cheat you could just hydro dip them... 😉 Would you leave the cake to go stale before using it as a buck? Looking forward to seeing the complete seat unit.

      Haha nice one Alan😂 tbh he didn’t do the best job on the carbon work, I’ve seen it! 👍🏼 I could resin infuse it but I’m not sure I can be bothered, there will be other carbon bits going on it so should be ok, oooooh yes, defo stale cake, if it lasted that long in my possession 😜👍🏼👍🏼
      Have a good Sunday mate👍🏼👍🏼

      @@Dustmonkeycreations thank goodness someone else who thought the bodywork was a bit rough. I held my tongue on it when he was doing it but fair play to him for giving it a go. Thought the paint was a bit rough too but again a shed job so I guess. I got the impression he was more concerned with making The Bike Shed than taking a bit more time and making it as good as the wheels and CNC stuff he designed.

      @@alancampbell1008 I did offer some advice but it wasn’t listed to, but he’s a pro builder so what do I know 🤪 👍🏻

    Very nice! Why do you paint before molding?

    • @Dustmonkeycreations
      @Dustmonkeycreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you take a mold from something it’s better to have a shiny surface as the mold release wax works better on smooth shiny surface’s and will aid release 👍🏻👍🏻
