    Great video.. Any idea how to fix my Sandy TruClear panel? My panels buttons don't do anything. It turns on and says it's chlorinating at 70%, but I can't raise or lower or power it off with the button. Is there I hard reset that might fix it?

    awesome video King Pool Service - When you say not having this system running while pump is off - After installing the iAquaLink automation, as soon the pump is off, the Salt system shows "Standby". May I understand it should be completely off? Thanks!

      If wired properly then the the relay should cut power to the system completely. Are you physically putting it in standby mode or is it doing that on its own?

      @@ChlorineKingPoolService I believe the Salt TrueClear system is not connected to the iAquaLink realy to shutdown the system completely. As today, the TrueClear when the pump is not running, it shows "Standby" (nope, I don't put in this mode), and when the pump is on, the TrueClear shows "Chlorinating %".

    My Jandy Truclear Pro series panel says No Flow, even when it's running. I cleaned the cartridge filter. I also turned on the pump without the cartridge just to make sure that wasn't the problem. Pool seems to be circulating good. What causes the NO FLOW signal.

      More than likely the flow switch is bad. I’d contact your installer and they should get a warranty station out there ASAP.

    I can't get the generator which is hooked up to Aqualink to get off standby. Cannot manually operate the generator even in Service mode. Can't get it off of Standby to generate chlorine. Turned off a couple times hoping that it would reset but it just goes back to standby. Any help on this would be appreciated. I think the system is still under warranty.

      It sounds like a bad power center to me. Before you spend money on that though it may be worth to have your installer come out and disconnect the 485 comm cable from the power center to see if you can turn it on separate from automation. That would mean possibly a bad 485 cable, automation board, etc.

    Haven't turned on my pool heater yet because its still cool outside. I have been cleaning the pool everyday though. At what point do i take it off Standby mode and switch it to Chlorinating? Also at what % do i set it at. I have a 16x32 inground pool.

    • @ChlorineKingPoolService
      @ChlorineKingPoolService  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can really turn the cell on anytime you want. If the water is really cold you can try 40% as you don’t need as much chlorine in the colder waters, and once it’s summer time you can play with 60%-80% to get the desired chlorine output you’re looking for. There’s a lot of variables to nail down a certain percentage so use whatever percentage that gives you a consistent 3-4ppm.

      Has to be wired with the pump. The once powered it will sense flow. If no flow then it doesn’t produce. If it detects flow then it will. I hope that makes sense.

    I am not connected to an iaqualink system. How do set the chlorination level to 30% (as an example) permanently? Currently I set the level to 30% (as an example) but once the unit turn off (pump turns off) and then back on, chlorination goes back to 100%.

      My mind must be shot? What is CYC?

    • @Fay3644
      @Fay3644 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On your videos 2 actually you show how you push the up and down arrow for 6 seconds on the TruClear and access settings and you spoke of reverse polarity and how the default is 5 hrs and the CYC can be changed from 5 hrs to 3 hrs. BuT if you have automation you can't do it on TruClear and instead have to go to iaqualink. And your screen shot shows set acquapur. But all I see in that menu item is pool % for chlorine, spa % for chlorine, boost. And timer for boost. I can't find anywhere in iaqualink where I can set up reverse polarity time.
      I am getting snow flakes and will clean saltbcell trow but also wanted to add cyc or look to see if it was set. But can't on TruClear bc I have automation. I even Valles iaqualink they don't know what I am talking about.

    • @ChlorineKingPoolService
      @ChlorineKingPoolService  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh that haha. Sorry it’s been a long week.
      To my knowledge you can’t alter that through aqualink. All you can change through iAquaLink is the output percentage. It’s best to disconnect the 485 and change it on the power center itself, then reconnect to automation.
      If you’re having flakes that’s calcium phosphates. I’d turn the salt system off for 1-2 weeks, get the phosphates under control, then slowly reintroduce the salt system to your pool. Also keep the ph down on the lower acceptable range and if you run the heater keep the temp down a bit. I hope this helps.

    • @Fay3644
      @Fay3644 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ChlorineKingPoolService is calcium phosphates different than phosphates on my leslie water test bc that is very low almost negligible. My ph is always around 7.4. Don't use the heater. And have no clue what u mean disconnect the 485.

    Is the a video on the connectivity to the Aqualink? I just switched from the old system to this one. Some of my concerns…1) I lost measure. Do you know if the low salt alarm is presented in the aqua link system. I don’t like that when connected to aqua link the Trucell display does not read the chlorine.

    • @ChlorineKingPoolService
      @ChlorineKingPoolService  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I don’t have a video of that yet. Yes you lose the measure of salt in iAquaLink. That is reserved for the aquapure. Low salt should be displayed on the truclear power center only. To my knowledge neither system reads chlorine unless you mean slat content.

  • @phill8504
    @phill8504 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just watched this video again, and wouldn’t happen to have one on how you wired this system up to the Aqua link? • @ChlorineKingPoolService

      @@ChlorineKingPoolService I agree, that I should be able to indicate the system is chlorinating, but when activated by the aqualink it does not appear to me, that is is overriding the standby switch on the Truclear. The Aquapure has an external flow/temp sensor in addition to a power center that has a little more information such as cell reversing, etc. It is also rated for 40K gallons I believe whereas the truclear is rated for 35K. If hooked up to automation you will not get a salt reading with the truclear, where as with the Aquapure you will. Hope this helps.

    Hey man, not sure if this is the best place but I am having an issue with a clients cell that is really leaving me stumped. Everything that would be the issue is fine. The cell is only producing enough chlorine to sustain 1.5ppm of chlorine per week. cya is 80. PH 7.4 alkalinity 60. Salt 3000ppm. No error codes, anything. Cells clean as a whistle. It's a Jandy Aquapure. What could be the issue?

    • @ChlorineKingPoolService
      @ChlorineKingPoolService  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      How old is the system? The cells have a ruthenium coating on the blades. Once that wears off the cell won’t work properly. How big is the pool? Phosphates? Percentage of production?

    • @Mendelevius
      @Mendelevius 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only 8 months old. Pool is 22,000 Gallons. And it only does 1.5ppm regardless of percentage. 10% or 100%. It does have phosphates but it was never an issue before. Cell shut down over the winter as normal, but now the temps are above 70, and this is all its doing.
