Great tip. New to the pool thing and my chlorine level was very low. Did not see much of a difference when I got my salt level up and I was concerned that my salt cell was not working. Using this method, I proved that it is working. Thank you!

Great pro tip. Been fighting my cell the last four days. Never thought to do this. Pools been at 1.5 but after i just cleaned my cell the test coming out of jet is a FC of 3

Good to hear, partner! I would check stabilizer levels, but glad to hear that the cell is working.

Has anybody actually tested the different brands for chlorine output? I can't find any independent verification of chlorine generation capacity. I did see a person that said he tested his new 3lb/day generator and was only getting 1lb/day under ideal conditions. Is this industry like car stereos? Ten thousand watts per channel yet somehow runs off a 10A fuse. I want to buy but I'm having trouble picking one.

Good question, partner! I have not, but I would love to see that data. Keep us posted if you find out! Thanks!

There was a lot of ice and fd is taking a very long time.

It may take more than 1 cycle if it’s very icy. You can also assist with a hairdryer if need be.

Howdy, partner! Your control panel should allow you to adjust the chlorination percentage (0-100). This correlates to the amount of time that the salt cell is actively producing chlorine.
