  • The Legged Robotics Team at ETH Zurich's Autonomous Systems Lab is doing research to build fast, versatile, and efficient quadrupedal robots. This movie illustrates some of the work that was done in the past years. Inspired by nature, the team built different types of electrically driven robots that can do various maneuvers from slow and careful climbing to very robust dynamic trotting.

Robotics Microlectures are produced in cooperation with Switzerland's NCCR Robotics (nccr-robotics.ch/) and Robohub (robohub.org/).

    Nice.....
good explaining... of working of its mechanism
but what should we use to make the robot able to take turns
    Can anyone help me....

I hope that theyadd in the flexible spine in the near future. I don't think that any quadruped robot still has one.

Its interesting and weird at the same time to watch this video at a time when we have "SPOT" from Boston Dynamics. 1000 times more advanced robo-dog.

More like 3 times more advanced since its still really slow even compared to humans.

How about engineering a dragon because I’m having a bit of difficulties with that like trying to draw the side view it was from the gallery in the game the lecture spiral down with the dr how about engineering a dragon because I’m having a bit of difficulties with that like trying to draw the side view it was from the gallery in the game the legend of Spyro dawn of the dragon specifically cynder

😳If actual Dragons with the capability of spewing FIRE are created.......😱THAT HOPEFULLY IS ILLEGAL! WHERE THE HELL IS THE CIA!? NOT WATCHING? NOVICES WITH MUCHA$$$$ CAN NOW INVENT/PRINT ALMOST ANY DEADLY THING! EEEEEK! AS INTERESTING AS ROBOTICS IS,TIS ALSO VWERY VWERY SCARY!

Still using gears, sigh. To make it move as a dog you need dynamic parts. Gears a not dynamic. You need artificial muscles or something that behaves identical to them.
We already know how they are connected to the bones in a dog.
What are you waiting for? Figure out how to make the artificial muscles already you lazy people! Gears wont work, they will break and are not dynamic.

Maybe you could make the Dynamic parts real, rather than knocking your keyboard facing the screen.

Oh yeah, why don't people already do this? Its not like artificial muscles such as air muscles are expensive or hard to find? Oh yeah, and it isn't like the system required to power these muscles would be too large or anything? So yeah, why don't people do it, it is basically free and can be done with no effort.
      this was all sarcasm btw
