I can’t thank you enough for the work you put into this channel. I have read instructions for this lift in older books but your demonstration has cleared a couple of sticking points Cheers buddy
I certainly do love the bent press and I've fallen back in love with it since I hurt my ribs recently and it feels really good to get some stretch and load onto my QL muscle and my serratus anterior
I'm starting strongman and I'm really interested to see how far I can level up my bent press to maybe even get better than everyone else's regular circus dumbells
this shit so hard, i been trying with 65-75lb total barbell. i get it up to my back with a 1 hand snatch, side press position. or curl, press, helicopter into side press position. then bent press.
@@ForgottenFitness thanks man! Ultimately I'd like to see if the claims of weights put over head in this movement are true by just doing them myself haha.
No, practice makes permanent, practice makes perfect is a terrible phrase and it needs to fade into the dust hahaha especially since muscle memory is reflected in the phrase practice makes permanent
Excellent video. That really explainEd it well!
Thank you so much! I tried to be as clear as possible.
This is such an underrated lift. I've been trying to incorporate it into my routine, and it's definitely challenging but rewarding.
I love your intro music. For a few brief moments it takes me back to 1986 when I first discovered bodybuilding. Thank you!
Awesome! Glad you liked it!

I have been doing theses with light weight (because I'm not have much flexibility) and this video is that helped me the most.
Thank you, man!
Glad I could help!
The first time I see this lift was in Alan Calvert book, later I see a video from Strongman Archeology
Both are fantastic sources of information!
As a former user of this exercises this is the OG exercises ,but i recommend using dumbbells
I like both versions.
@@ForgottenFitness just problem on balancing
I was wondering the same thing. Can just use a dumbbell for this.
@@gabbar51ngh yes its much better with a dumbell

Man! It’s gotta be one of the most difficult lifts there is!
Iron Master Arthur Saxon held the record in this lift .
He STILL does!
So far I've made 80kg on this lift, I'm gunning for 100kgs
Man, I wish! That’s incredible!
