Jason, you inspired me to try my own Fugitive Run tonight. I'm on a cold planet - all dioxite, cobalt etc., so not too bad as a first planet. However, I was stunned to see my first Suspicious Trader land close by after about 90 minutes....! I sold off my Salvaged Data etc but nowhere near being able to afford a ship. Ah well... Then, only 15 or 20 minutes later I came across ANOTHER trader and spaceship!!! What a waste - I'd not got any nearer in that time to gathering enough to buy a ship. Reminded me of a well-known saying here in England: 'You wait ages and ages for a bus - then two come along at once!' I really didn't know whether to laugh or cry first!!!
at 1:08:00 : I got the game at half price. For what I got, I would easily have paid full price though, and if there is ever DLC that is not free, I would happily buy it. But, big props to HG for doing it the way they do it! If it keeps bringing people in at a sustainable rate, then it's a golden business model!
If you want to fight thr sentinels at the pillar just jump on top and start killing them. The pillar blocks their attacks if done right. Move back when quad attacks and it can't hit you, then attack between its attacks. The walker also gets blocked. When you kill a normal you can collect the green canister as it falls to recharge shields if needed, or you can quickly jump down and grab one between waves. Once walker is down you can then disable and collect all the canisters and open the glass. :)
Should you not spam use your scanner if it scans further away. Also if your ship is out of start fuel just call in another ship, equip it and then call in the one out off startfuel.
No offense to Beeblebum, but I think the five glyphs is just a way to make it a tedious grind -- unless he has some secret way of finding graves. I have 3 glyphs in my extreme outlaw save, and I don't have a lot of hope for finding more. I'm afraid my run is getting boring! I may revise the rules for me as well.
I found 3 glyphs in the time I was looking for a ship to leave the starter planet. 8.5 hrs on foot before I found a ship, but it didn’t take long after that to get two more glyphs. All told I hit the galaxy core in just over 22hrs on the save
Quick question: the rules say you have to leave an outlaw station in a different ship you arrived in. Say I have to ships, I enter the station, scrap my ship, my other ship spawns in, and I fly that one out of the station. Is that cool?

I couldn't do early Expeditions 'cos of dodgy 'Net connections; I really missed out on the gold fighter, fancy frigate etc :(

In my main save I have an experimental multitool with 900u scanner radius. It may depend on the multitool base stats AND the upgrades.

I've found most of the graves I've found or go to are at cave entrances.
Dude, I would buy it as DLC if they added ship customization through scrapping...
