2:07:54 - please, for the love of God, never EVER lubricate a rubber-based belt. Belts are made to transfer energy from point A to B, not to slip in between places. If you do lubricate your belt, you will cause a lot more problems than you could ever think. If we were talking about a timing belt, those are different type of belts. Basically chains, like the one on a bicycle or motorcycle - and those, being metal, requires proper lubrication. But a serpentine belt is a rubber-based belt and that should NEVER be lubricated. Most likely the cause of the noise is a bad/damaged belt, your tensioner/pulleys are misaligned/stuck, you are running short on coolant or maybe it is just cold out there and the rubber is showing its age.
When I played this expedition, I fixed the starting Solar, just enough for it to fly. Flew over to the marked Sentinel ship, fixed that. Sold the Solar for 3 Million and can now buy almost anything I need. Also the Sentinel starts with a lot more storage 🙂
Sentinel camps will each give you 3 sentinel ship locations, so drop a save beacon or a base computer when you find one. Now you can come back and find two more sentinel ships. They sell for about 30-50 million each! 👍🏻
Tip: Always take a pantyhose with you in the car, when your belt brakes, you can use that pantyhose to make a belt so that you can reach to the nearest garage to let it fixed. The stronger the pantyhose the better it is. You can not doit with high speed, just take it easy with that pantyhose, but it can save your day
You can add the standard mining beam to the Autophage MT (the one from a purple monolith's pillar) too: ISTM any MT with a non-standard mining laser can be doubled. The Autophage MT is better for mining anyway, as that's where its bonus is: the Sentinel MT & the staff are both combat-focused tools
I can't believe you didn't show everyone the second thing on the terminals at the camp. The second option under removing the multitool seal. LOCATE DISSONANCE SPIKES. Tells you how to repair and claim a sentinel ship.
I've never used a sentinel ship before and this thing is awesome! All the fuels are radiant shards so easy to stay fueled. And the jump range is insane!

I had just this one day to complete the expedition, and got stuck behind the milestone that requires waiting on a community completion, with 2% left for the "next" level. Ok, is 2% 5 minutes away, or 50 hours? I have a plane to catch in the morning, and I'm not taking this console with me. Otherwise it was mostly fun.

Outlaw systems have the highest chance for S class, for freighters specifically.
I'm unsure of the figures, but IME Outlaw systems have a better chance of a pirate dreadnought battle rather than a standard freighter battle, so you may miss out there
