YES! I’m a new momma too and I’ve definitely experienced the enemy trying to work his way into my heart in this season. I was up in the middle of the night a few days ago trying to get my baby to sleep, and the Lord really convicted me here. I can spend that time in the quiet hours of night praising the Lord, praying for my son, and my sweet husband! What a gift!
I’m not subscribed to you guys and this video RANDOMLY popped up on my TH-cam, I needed this message so bad today!!! I’m watching my baby niece for my brother and sister in law and have been STRUGGLING! She’s 6 months old, teething, finding her voice and her likes/dislikes and I have been having a really hard time with her and it sent me spiraling down the path of “if I can’t handle her for a weekend how could I possibly handle children of my own” THE DEVIL IS A LIE!!! The enemy is so sneaky oh my gosh!!!!! Thank God for the God we serve🙏🏼
GUYS, you have got to be kidding me! YOU ARE SO ANNOINTED. UGH, how thankful I am to be alive in this generation. I am 22 and so many people in my generation will say things like, "I wish I was born in another generation". WE ARE BLESSED. The Lord knew how people like you, both will change hearts with the Holy Spirit. I took a couple years off watching you both consistently and I am so happy to be back. I remember when you both did not have kids and were having a hard time trying. Look at the blessing, not one child, BUT TWO! Ugh, I am so happy for the two of you and am crying writing this. Thank you for continuing your walk, I encourage you to keep growing like you are and exhorting to people, like me :)

TORI!! I have been in your shoes, 2 under 2 was the hardest battle to stay positive and be kind in my marriage etc. gosh those days were SO HARD! I am watching my 3.5 and 5yo boys play outside and am grateful for full nights of sleep, I don’t say this to make you envious or anything of that nature, but to give you HOPE that this too shall pass! The way you responded inspires me and I will apply it to my life, because the sleepless nights are just replaced with a different worry, we all know that there is never a time where things are “perfect”! Thank you so much for feeling led to share this, it impacted me! I adore you! You’re a great mama 🥰

Tori, I am a online subscriber and I cant tell you enough how much I needed this video today. I have been so stressed as a new mom, and part time student and Behavior interventionist for children with special needs and I have been responding out of my frustration, irritation, really stress, also lack of rest and sleep including not honoring the sabbath day, instead of using those moments to praise God and looking at things from a heaveanly perspective I have been looking at them in how I feel and have been complaining. Including not responding in ways that honor the lord. Thank you Jesus and thank you Holy spirit for this reminder 🙏🤍

Oh my gosh the lord put this on my feed for a reason. I am 36 weeks pregnant with a 2 year old and my dog has been sick getting up multiple times a night, along with my toddler and I have been so tired and struggling hard with joy right now. I needed this reminder so badly thank you ❤

ABSOLUTELY! Mother of 5 here... My first few were the hardest because i was praying for God to change it (The lack of sleep mostly)... My last 2 have been the easiest because I prayed for Gods strength within the circumstance & I intentionally blocked out the hard and focussed on the lovely. Plus I realised that it goes fast and id sleep eventually (Current bub is 19 months old & still waking 2-3 times a night, but I dont really mind).
Yesss!!! Hallelujah!! This is exactly what my church and me personally are studying, living, choosing, and learning!! God is so good! So amazing how the Holy Spirit is truly on one accord.
Thank you Tori! The LORD really used you in the video to convict me. I have a ten month old and in my fist trimester with my second and my first born will not sleep unless I’m nursing and has also been bitting me so hard I bleed. I found myself dreading the days and sadly partnering with the enemy. No more! I will praise our father for my blessing he had I trusted me with and treasure this time with my fist born while it’s just us. Thank you!

I have a 3 year old & 16 month old that’s going through a horrible sleep regression/separation anxiety to the point that last night, she kept crying and screaming when I didn’t hold her. It lasted for 3 hours 😔😭
I tried to make the day better by getting the girls out of the house & get my oldest a bike she’s been wanting for months. I brought it home, she sat on it & come to find out, she was too tall for it 😭😭😭
Before watching this, I cried and just felt like a failure as their mom and a wife.
After watching this, it gave me the encouragement that I truly needed.

This was in line with our message today from The Pearl Church 👏🏼 I’m 35 weeks pregnant and started to allow the frustrations of late pregnancy/slowing down to override the joy I have growing inside my womb. This is a great reminder for me entering the mama season and for when life gets tough when our baby girl is here! 🙏🏼

Can’t even describe how much this applies to the season I’m in right now nothing to do with babies but heading into a new piece of my career. And each day been so frustrating of the newness and I keep thinking like oh in 6 months it will be better. And not appreciating what God is doing right now.

Wow this is so so good! I am in this season with y’all! My hubby and I have a 3 month old. In the thick of it & all the postpartum hormones etc. I have truly felt we have been being attacked by the enemy. We’ve experienced attacks on our marriage, our vehicle, my husband’s job, my relationship with my Dad, and multiple panic attacks where I went to the ER. I *need* to watch this again multiple times and take notes. Thank you!
My littlest man nurses to sleep most of the time and nurses throughout the night and I used to think I needed to change this but I know it’s only going to be so long and now I see it as a magical and joyous experience and I am embracing this stage of life we are in. God will always meet you when you open your ears and eyes to the beauty of those moments instead of what’s lacking and it’s so hard when we are TIRED. It’s ok to ask for help. It’s ok to nurse him to sleep if that’s what works. I’m so glad God met you in this moment ❤❤❤❤ thanks for sharing it’s so inspiring
Thank you so much dear Tori. I really needed this, just like a lot of people hearing this. My relationship just ended, even though I thought that “this” could be it. It really hurts. Besides that, my singing voice doesn’t work anymore. I’m so grateful that I was able to sing for so long, all for the glory of God. But now it seems I have to chose another path? Or is it the enemy who is trying to pull me away from Gods direction.
I’m praying a lot for this specific situation. Sometimes I feel so lost and down. But you remind me of the thing I always say to others: the joy of the Lord is my strength! That’s the truth!
This is so timely! I have been getting so frustrated as I come up on a year of feeding every night...more frequently now than the newborn stage due to teething and I've been more impatient than I'd like to be and not enjoying each moment as I should be. What a great reminder!

You are on fire Tori! This video confirms what God has been speaking to me about- choosing joy! On the missions trip to Costa Rica, the organization we were with has 5 contract items we are to sign off on. And one of them was Choose Joy. And in the two weeks I've been home, I've found that I've laughed more and truly been finding joy even on hard days. Thank you for sharing!

That’s such a great mindset Tori, I also feel the kids feels the enemy in us when we’re sleep deprived. It’s no JOKE. Waking up and serving our children from the very start of our day, on a lack of sleep. Take care of y’all! This will definitely pass, around 6-7 months I feel it gets so much easier!!! Stay strong

Yes! I’m currently 7.5 weeks pregnant and also have an 18 month old (and I also work from home!) so I’m currently going through a crazy season and can totally relate to not wanting the enemy to steal my joy even in some of the “difficult” moments!

Yeah i definitely agree that's what the enemy is trying to do to me as well. He wants me to be irritated in this season and i have been. I'm trying to get deeper in God's word and focus on what I'm thankful for instead of allowing the enemy to steal my joy focusing on my lack of community and time with friends. People tell me that I have the joy of the Lord…it really is the Joy of the Lord, because anyone else in my situation would be angry and upset and frustrated, and some days I do get frustrated, but then I think about how amazing the Lord is and all that He’s brought me through. I had a brain injury 9 years ago and I still can’t use my dominant left side like I used to, but I have the Lord 🤩

But Yes girl. Been walking through this season and God has pruned me through choosing joy and love regardless. We have 3 girls, 4 years,3 years and 9 months.
Our 9 month old is still waking up most nights 2 times. She just slept through the night for the first time 2 days ago lol and then got sick so that didn’t last 😂😂😂.
I felt frustrated that she wants to comfort nurse back to sleep and then this past Monday she went on a nursing strike and I thought wow God…. I have complained that she just always wants to eat on my for comfort and now it’s taken away and I’m just praying she will eat again so she can be healthy and fed. By Gods grace she started nursing again that night.
It’s amazing how much we appreciate things the moment they are gone. So praise be to Jesus that I can fed that baby and love that baby, even if it costs me rest.
FTM to a precious 7 week baby boy named Andrew and I have not been choosing joy. I am with you Tori and I am choosing joy today and I will be thankful for this moment in Jesus’ name.

Husband has been dealing with incredibly difficult health issues for six months and is now getting insomnia, waking us both up for 1-2hrs nightly. Currently 3rd tri pregnant with first baby and feeling everything. The Lord used this to speak to me today ❤
