Hi Denise. I love the caran d’ache neopastels that are water soluable and dip in water first then draw on paper. I’d love to see your reaction to those. I love your enthusiasm. Keep up the he,he,hee’s. Makes me smile! Love your colour challenges.
I love the Neo colors too! I use them wet and dry. This channel is new… so just haven’t made a video on that yet. 😊

Oh my! I loved the oil pastels and botanical lines. You've given me inspiration to use my Sennelier oil pastels differently than I have been. Have you ever seen those two finger art gloves? They fit your ring and pinky finger on either hand. It protects your work from getting oils from your hand on the piece. I love mine!

Love it as always, so much fun!! When I get textures using pastels I don't like, I rub over it using the paper stubs. It works really well.

These both turned out gorgeous. However, if you didn't like the big purple arches could you have smudged them a little with your finger because they are pastels? Maybe that would have soften them a bit? Just a thought....LOL

I just ordered some Sennellier oil pastels and also bought W&N Fixative. I also bought some acrylic paints. It’s a little intimidating as I’m only used to watercolor. Wonder if in a inspirational project using these items you could add in some pointers and instructions on best practices to using pastels and acrylics. I love your videos.

When I saw the purple arches in the thumbnail I saw it as a single loopy line that was "masked" by the borders of the watercolor. Seeing them as arches made me like it slightly less, but when I saw it as an intentional covering up of a continuous line it felt so clever. haha It almost feels a bit like one of those coloring books from my childhood where you just add water to the page and the color would activate and the rest of the loopy line here just hadn't been wet.

Beautiful!! I liked the right sided one. It caught my eye at first as I thought it was a chain made of tiny marks and wondered how you’d done it so neatly. I liked how you added the green-gold, I didn’t know if it would work at first and it really gave the paintings a great “pop” of color. You’ve convinced me that prompt cards really work. but a came across some cheaper Monte Marte Landscape /portrait oil pastels and the colours are glorious much like the
Art Nouveau palette.and they are creamy too!

Hi Denise, you have inspired me so much! Love your work, I'm also on the purple arch team, it just gives the painting so much "pop". My question is, when do you know if you are going to fill the whole page or just part thereof ( like in these one's)? Watching you from sunny South Africa😊
One other question, what alternativ3 could I use instead of Poscas as they are not so easily available or they are super expensive.

You can use what ever you happen to have in your art supplies... a tiny brush with paint, other paint pens, stencils, neo color 2 crayons, etc... definitely get creative with what you have available to you! 😊
I am brand new to this art medium and brand new to your channel.. can you tell me what paper you are working on, and why you chose that specific paper?
Great question. I use a variety of papers because I like to experiment with them. I mostly use 100% cotton paper now because I like how they give you a bit of extra time when working with wet mediums like watercolor.
